2023 Chevy Silverado Duramax Diesel To Soon Score Brand-New LZO Engine

The Mid-Missouri Powerhouse has long been a “tabernacle of sorts” for trucks: so many of our customers are in love with the Silverado and its towing ability, rugged and go-anywhere work qualities, and signature look of the bow-tie’s coolest bumper comin’ right at ya! The incoming 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 will arrive as the 4th model year for the 4th-generation nameplate and is expected to see a few changes and updates over the fully refreshed 2022 model year. The staff on duty at GM Authority were hard at work telling their readers about just how cool the 2023 Chevy Silverado Duramax models will be when they are equipped with the new LZO engine.

It will carry similar properties as the LM2 turbodiesel found in the current Silverado 1500, with 3.0 hefty liters of displacement, turbocharged aspiration, and an inline-six-cylinder arrangement. Exciting qualities such as improved fuel economy, lower emissions, and increase in output are expected, and the current 3.0-Liter I6 LM2 turbodiesel offered by the Chevy Silverado Duramax is rated at 277 horsepower at 3,750 rpm and 460-lb ft of torque, yielding 31 mpg on the highway when under the hood of the 1500 RWD models.

The LM2 diesel engine also resides happily (and powerfully) under the hood of the GMC Sierra 1500 and mated to GM 10-speed automatic transmission. You’ll also be able to snag up the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the turbocharged 2.7-liter I4 L3B gas engine, and naturally aspirated 6.2-Liter V8 L87 gas engine. Built by hard-working Americans that take massive pride in every inch at the GM Fort Wayne plant in Indiana, the current and coming-year Silverado trucks will offer these great powertrain options, useful bed features, and the bonus of the overland-ready and canyon-crawling pro chops of the ZR2.

More spacious inside than the competition in the form of the ever-aggressively-stanced Ford F150 the Silverado will tow up to 13,300 pounds. The current-year model includes emergency braking, forward collision alert, lane keep assist, and automatic high beams as standard. One of the most noticeable advantages of a body-on-frame pickup compared to a unibody truck is the ability to have multiple cab and bed options such as regular, double, and crew cabs. This year’s Silverado model saw a massive 13.4-inch touchscreen system as an update and now included as standard on the LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, ZR2, LTZ, and High Country.

Chevy has also confirmed that an electric Silverado is coming, and it should boast as much as 400 miles of range and very capable 24-inch wheels. During the Motortrend.com first drive, the Silverado ZR2 was the most impressive to them, with its rock-crawling abilities, slick composure, upgraded skid plates, and special front bumper to improve approach angle.

2022 Chevy Silverado Revels in Traditional-Power Heaven with New Diesel Off-Road Package

It was last September that GM revealed the refreshed version of the 2022 Chevy Silverado, and showed all of us here at the Mid Missouri Powerhouse its great list of exciting changes and fresh updates. We trusted the avid staff as usual on duty at the GM Authority blog, and they had also learned the news that the refreshed Silverado will offer a new diesel off-road package for the ultimate grunt and grit that trail hounds are constantly after.

This new package will be offered on both LT and RST trim levels and includes the following content to up your aggressive trail-crushing game: a 3.73 axle ratio, Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrack Blackwall tires, chrome assist steps, and a hard-folding tonneau cover. This off-road package requires four-wheel drive, on top of the Crew Cab body style, the Z71 Off-Road package, and the strength and expertly-engineered might of the 3.0-Liter LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine. You’ll already be enjoying the cranked-out and hefty abilities of 277 horsepower, and 460 lb-ft of torque. The 2022 Silverado 1500 is also now offered with the turbocharged 2.7-liter I4 L3b gasoline engine, which has now been rated up to generate 460 lb-ft of torque.

The new Silverado now rides on the GM T1 platform, with assembly taking place at the GM Oshawa Plant in Canada. One of the easiest ways to keep on top of the maintenance is to ensure that the Diesel Exhaust Fluid is topped up. You can refill with GM-approved DEF, with the re-fill nozzle usually being located underneath the fuel filler door. To avoid overfilling, just let the fluid drip steadily but slowly until it hits the bottom of the filler funnel.

We have been excited lately about just how many people have chosen diesel during what has been a period seeing much transition towards electric, as there are still so many reasons to opt for diesel regarding efficiency and ability. This always-awesome number that Carbuzz.com billed as an “Off-road Brawler, On-Road Cruiser” boasts an 8,900-lb towing ability, with our prized ZR2 model faring quite well during a test drive up against the very extreme elements of California’s Joshua Tree National Park.

The seasoned and always-savvy editors at TheCarConnectionn.com also spent some slushy and still-awesome quality time with the Silverado 1500 LTD Trailboss tackling winter weather in Minnesota. They were immediately impressed with the multi-function tailgate, as well as the slick-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission. It was stout, sounded awesome, and was very chipper while lugging along or while being pushed hard. Every refreshed 2022 Silverado model will now come standard with active lane control, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and lane-departure warnings.

2023 Chevy Colorado LT is Featured as Chiseled-Out Strong with New Lighting Elements, Perfect Midsize Platform

So many different vehicles here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse have chosen this amazing spring season to reveal their fresh looks, and we are thrilled that the 2023 Chevy Colorado LT is one of them! It’s coming soon and not quite here yet, but the Motorbiscuit.com staff had a great feature on their blog about its attractive makeover and what exactly to expect. The spy shots they provided had the truck heavily covered in camo per usual, but the adept reporting team still had a few reliable clues to go with.

The new Colorado LT features a more confident front end with new LED headlights and potentially modern projector beam bulbs that give them a more advanced look. The lights have a horizontal layout with LEDs at the top, and there are new lighting elements stretched across the top of the grille along with a set of round fog lamps that are sitting lower in the front bumper. It appears to also ride on brand-new 18-inch wheels with black machining, and a unique 12-spoke design ideally wrapped in Goodyear tires.

Everything seen here leads to the premise that this incoming Colorado is going to appear much sleeker, and will also ride on the 31XX-2 platform. Many customers that loved the existing Colorado and how it could be positioned well in a tight spot will appreciate just how it provides a sportier ride with a bit more calculated and smoother driving manners on pavement. The most reliable rumors have claimed that the Colorado will also see a new contender in the form of an awesome and spry powertrain, as the 310 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque will be provided courtesy of a turbocharged 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine.

You can also choose to fully embrace the calling of raw power and primo punch off the line, and go for the 3.6-liter V6 engine that doles out 308 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque. The current years’ model here at the Powerhouse sports a very smooth ride, attractive diesel option, and trim for every possible need. All the variants range from the very basic work truck to off-road ready ZR2 models that provide the utmost toughest choice for anyone who wants to blow haphazardly through dunes or handle rut-rich and boulder-laden terrain.

With the ideal blend of top-notch road manners and necessary function of daily usability, the Chevy Colorado has laid its claim solidly as one of the best midsize trucks on the market. Smaller and easier to handle always comes with benefits, and it’s not just when trying to snag a parking spot in the tightly-wrapped confines of an urban big-box parking lot. The multimedia system features a 7.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a six-speaker premium audio system, and a 3.5-inch instrument cluster display. Enjoying “Truck of the Year” twice annually via our well-connected friends at Motor Trend, this is the truck you want to fully take charge of your spring “to do” list and provide the opportunity to offer you the best in well-honed off-or on-road navigation.

Chevy Bolt EV, EUV Deemed As Electric Vehicle Top Picks For the Gradual Upward Climb of the Daily Commute

Being stuck in the slow lane is something that many of our customers here at the Mid Missouri Powerhouse have dealt with on the daily, and there are so many great models coming that are going to make things so easy you won’t even realize that you’re doing your part for the family ad slogging it out as part of your daily grind! Website Cars.com has now officially announced its 2022 Top Picks for the electric vehicle segment, naming the 2022 Bolt EV and the 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV as the top commuters that reside in the category.

These new picks were made in conjunction with the website’s latest EV Buying Guide, where the economic effect, driving range, interior comfort, and features for more than 30 electric models were evaluated in-depth. The ease of use for families, luxury feel, and how much fun customers felt that the car was to drive were all taken into account while the final decisions were being made. Even though the same urban efforts underway that dictated the electric car movement in the beginning are in full effect, some streets still suffer major congestion and need a comfortable and very capable vehicle to navigate through the ranks.

Even though both models had issues with recalls, we aren’t aware of any further problems moving forward, and both of these models now enthusiastically are riding on the GM BEV2 platform, which supports dedicated and energy-conserving all-electric vehicle architecture. They both are sporting the 288-cell, 65 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which provides the necessary juice to a front-mounted Voltec motor to wonderfully lay down 200 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque situated directly at the front axle.

What the main objective is as far as many of the incoming electric vehicles now is range, and the Bolt EV is rated at 259 miles while the Bolt EUV resides on the road with its abilities hovering at about 247 miles per charge. Both of these vehicles are produced by the hard-working and always-engaged assemblers at the GM Lake Orion plant in Michigan, and will surely be on track to bring the nation hastily into the Earth-conscious realms of new capability minus the petrol.

The game-changing and awesome vehicle that Motor Trend billed as “The crossover For the Rest of Us” last year, the award-winning hatchback in the form of the Bolt EUV has repeatedly been put to the test to see if its magic and momentum lives through. What their testing team described as substandard body control and perfect suspension tuning played out as the car’s amazing engagement on the road was pleasant and practical. The 2022 Bolt EUV comes equipped with automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, lane-keeping assist with lane departure warning, following distance indicator, and front pedestrian braking.
