2022 Chevy Silverado HD Carhartt Edition Now Sporting Unique and Hard-Working Style with Multi-Flex Tailgate

The 2022 Chevy Silverado HD is the third model year for the 4th-generation nameplate and has seen the introduction of a few small changes and updates. One thing we have noticed about our trademark truck lovers here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse is that they love to do anything they can to make their rig more unique and personalized, and lovers of the great outdoors and the hard work you can accomplish with this truck line can now upgrade their 2022 Chevy Silverado HD with the optional Carhartt Edition package. 

We looked for the experts on duty at GM Authority to let us know the details on this awesome and unique package, which is also available in conjunction with the Chevy Multi-Flex Tailgate. It was previously incompatible with the 2022 Chevy Silverado HD, but now includes a long list of enhancements for both the interior and exterior, including black badging, a black skid plate, painted mirror caps, exterior pinstriping, and Mosaic Black Metallic grille bar, along with Carhartt interior trim and embroidered headrests, 20-inch machined aluminum wheels, and more.

The package requires the LTX Plus Package, the LTZ Convenience Package II, and the Safety Package II, along with the Z71 Off-Road Package and Mosaic Black Metallic paint. The 2022 Chevy Silverado HD comes with two of our heftiest and most high-performing options, including the naturally aspirated 6.6-Liter V8 L8T gas engine, which is rated at 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. The 6.6-Liter V8 LSP turbodiesel Duramax is rated at 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque, and production takes place at the fine-tuned and always fired-up GM Flint plant in Michigan. 

With over 3,200 employees and a large heap of knowledge about everything Chevy, they are still fully enjoying the $877 million for construction of a new body shop. Adding to the state wage pool by nearly $300,000,000, they have made a positive impact in many ways here in the state that always knows what they are doing regarding cranking out the goods for metal and steel. The Duramax diesel V-8 provides seemingly endless torque for the testing team, and towing was a breeze in all ways thanks to the trailering apps and cameras.

Each Silverado 2500HD comes included with a touchscreen infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with Custom and Work Truck trims getting a 7.0-inch screen, and LT trims getting an 8.0-inch version. Offering consistently serious capability in a package that can be styled for anyone, the toy right used Chevy Silverado 2500 HD it's a hefty hauler and heavy-hitting pickup truck that does battle with competition the likes of Ford and Ram. You may not be able to nail down eco-conscious safety or green fuel economy ratings because of these trucks’ large size, but when it comes to capability and durability, this is something to be all-out proud of!

2023 Corvette Stingray 70th Anniversary Package Commemorates Excellence in Classic Chevy Splendor

The 2023 Chevy Corvette C8 Stingray is highly revered by us here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse in its typical track-dominating and legendary stance, as the new engine placement has rendered it an example of true supercar status. The always car-obsessed and awesome staff on duty at GM Authority provided the inside scoop on the 70th Anniversary Edition’s details, now offered up as an optional aesthetics and styling package. For anyone who has so much love to share for the Corvette that they want all-out customization, packages such as this never disappoint.

You’ll be flaunting these amazing assets categorized under the RPO code Y70: a 19-inch front/20-inch rear 20-spoke Carbon Flash-painted forged aluminum wheels with Red Stripe, along with Red-painted calipers. There is also the rear fascia/roof storage protector in Black with embroidered crossed flags logo, and Ceramic White leather seating surfaces with red stitching to pair with the Torch Red seat belt color. There’s also the leisurely inclusion of the 70th-Anniversary set of premium leather weekend/travel bags, and 70th anniversary exterior badging and logo on wheel caps, steering wheel, and sill plates.

This 70th Anniversary Edition package is available with Carbon Flash Metallic or White Pearl Metallic Tricoat paints colors and is currently offered on the 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06. Power will be sourced from the always amazing and naturally aspirated 6.2-Liter V8 LT2 gas engine, which churns out upwards of 490 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque while riding on the GM Y2 platform and being produced at the massive GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky. Open for business and churning out amazing vehicles since 1981, this plant boasts 1 million square feet on 212 acres, with over 800 dedicated employees on duty every day. 

Here you have everything excellent about American cars in one great package: power, vibrations, downforce, amazing grip, luxury, and the ability to be fully customized. It remains completely free of electrification and turbos and remains the best-performing Corvette of all time. There really is nothing quite like the bark and chatter of a huge flat-plane V8, and this particular number flaunts a center-exit exhaust with unique tips that send the XXL sound decibels back to the engine and directly into the cockpit. 

Since this smaller-displacement engine now produces less low-end torque than the 6.2-liter LT2 small-block, the axle ratio is now shortened from the Stingray Z51’s stance for a more powerful and immediate launch. The standard Z06’s overall ride rate is over 30% stiffer than what is on the Z51, which the track optimized Z07 package has been deemed as responsible for a further 8 percent increase across the board. Chief engineer Tadge Juechter claimed that the Z06 is by far the fastest Corvette his experienced design team has tested on their various circuits and that it has set several memorable records that will be difficult to squash during the days to come.

2024 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban to Shine Brightly From Refurbished Front End With High-Capability Two-Tiered Lighting Addition

The 2024 Chevy Tahoe and 2024 Chevy Suburban will both introduce a full model refresh for both SUV nameplates, and all of us here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse are excited to see just what this pair of larger-size haulers will boast in the “brand-new” department. The GM Authority blog ran a feature lately focusing on the two-tiered lighting setup for the front end. They offered up a pretty good idea of what the SUVs will look like courtesy of what spy photos had shown with the lights hidden by camouflage.

Under the camo, we can clearly make out a two-tiered headlight configuration, and the 2024 Chevy Suburban appears to be the High-Country trim level, riding on 22-inch Sterling Silver Premium wheels with chrome inserts, and door handles that also appear to be higher-end trim. It was 4 years ago that GM unveiled the FNR-CarryAll concept, affectionately known as the 3-row Chevy Blazer, while also indicating that it would be used for other models in the future. This concept embraces what the future development trend of Chevy is after, including our powerful capability, class-leading comfort, and best-in-show connectivity technology.

Future Chevy SUVs will draw design inspiration from the Chevy Blazer crossover, and this two-tiered lighting setup incorporates a set of driving lights and turn signals mounted higher on the fascia with the primary forward lighting provided by headlights mounted lower in the front fascia. This layout can also be found on the current Chevy Blazer, 2022 Chevy Bolt EV, Chevy Bolt EUV, 2022 Chevy Traverse, Chevy Silverado HD, 2022 Chevy Equinox, and the upcoming Chevy Silverado EV. 

The current Chevy Tahoe and Suburban are offered with the choice of the atmospheric 5.3-Liter V8 L87 gas engine, the 3.0-Liter I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax, and both SUVs ride on the GM T1 platform, with production taking place courtesy of the hard-working Americans at the GM Arlington plant in Texas. Combined Chevy Tahoe and Suburban sales increased in the United States heavily during 2022’s first quarter and kept the Bow Tie brand’s full-size SUVs in first place in their segment when ranked by sales volume. The duo took the top two spots respectively, with the Tahoe in first followed by the Suburban with a 12 percent bump up to above 12,000 units.

Fully Revamped Chevy Silverado HD to Haul, Tow, and Slay Dirt with Massive Suspension Soon at a Jobsite Near you

The upcoming and refreshed Chevy Silverado HD is now set to launch for the 2024 model year, and the hard-working staff on duty at GM Authority had the details on what we can all look forward to for performance and features here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse. Things were previously just a bit unclear on whether the refreshed Chevy Silverado HD would come out during 2023 or 2024, following a full model refresh and still boasting its same swagger, durability, and stance. 

We have long appreciated how the GM Authority team has taken it upon themselves to provide Grade A spy shots, and they were out in full force catching a few of the refreshed pickups out for testing this past week. They offer up an early look at the revised exterior, hidden just a bit by the typical presence of camouflage cover. We have been asked repeatedly to offer up details about the powertrain update, and now know that the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD is supposed to introduce a fully-fledged update for the Duramax diesel engine that will boost output to nearly 500 horsepower and 1,100 lb-ft of torque.

There will also be the introduction of the new Silverado HD ZR2, a brand-new trim level that will now be available for single-rear-wheel vehicles. You’ll be able to explore (and conquer!) the great outdoors with the addition of brand-new specialty dampers, aggressive 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires, and locking differentials for the front and rear, providing the ideal extra dose of off-road capability. Production for the 2023 Silverado HD is still on track to begin in July. 

It will roll triumphantly off the line courtesy of the very talented and hard-working men and women on duty at the GM Flint plant in Flint, Michigan, and more recently, from the GM Oshawa plant in Canada. The facility located in Ontario has only been building the heavy-duty variant of the full-size truck on a two-shift rotation before production of the light-duty Silverado 1500 began just this week. There has been over $1.3 billion sunk into the Oshawa site to prepare it to produce both the Chevy Silverado HD and Chevy Silverado 1500, with the bow-tie brand celebrating one of the fastest plant turnarounds in automaker history.
