The 2016 Camaro Driver Mode Selector

© General Motors

The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro stands out in every way, especially with the new technologies that enable drivers to tailor the car to the moment it is being driven. Whether lapping a road course or taking the curvy back roads of Mid-Missouri- the Camaro’s suspension adapts to fit every situation imaginable with its Driver Mode Selector.

The modes to choose from include:
  • Sport
  • Tour
  • Track (Available in SS only)
  • Snow/Ice
Each mode makes different adjustments- such as the level of traction, shift feel, ride stiffness, steering and throttle response, and even the lighting within the cockpit of the car. With eight different characteristics to choose from, every mode is a unique driving experience.

The SS comes equipped with magnetic ride control- the world’s fasted driving suspension- which reads the road every millisecond to help the tires stay on the road, similar to the way metal sticks to a magnet.

2017 Equinox Spied Testing

Though heavily camouflaged, spy photographers have caught the 2017 Chevrolet Equinox test-driving in Southern Europe. The vehicle seen in the photos is the Opel Antara, however, this will become the new Chevy Equinox when it makes its way to the US.

It’s difficult to see a lot of the details, due to the fact that automakers work hard to keep new vehicles a secret but the 2017 Equinox is expected to offer better mileage than the current generation. Additionally, it appears that the vehicle will remain a five-seater but since no major changes have been done to the crossover since 2010, many are expecting the third generation to look even better and include advanced technology.

There’s no word on when the vehicle will arrive but many are expecting late 2016 or early 2017.

Stay tuned on our blog or follow us on social media for more updates!

The 2017 Chevrolet Cruze Hatchback has Tons of Room AND a Reasonable Price

Chevrolet has finally announced the pricing of one of its newest vehicles—the 2017 Cruze Hatchback. The all-new vehicle will start out at a reasonable $22,190 and is expected to arrive at dealerships, including MidMo Powerhouse, this fall.

What we know: the new hatchback has added 3.7 cubic feet of cargo space to that of the traditional Cruze, and has a whopping 42 cubic feet of storage when the seats are folded down! The LT model features a 1.4-liter turbo, four-cylinder engine with 153 horsepower and is available with a six-speed or manual transmission. The staffers here at the dealership think that a diesel powered 5-door Cruze hatchback would be a great vehicle for out in the rural areas. We can’t wait for Chevy to announce this vehicle’s standard and optional equipment!

Car buyers in the Midwest have been showing increased interest in hatchbacks due to the extra utility that the 5th door adds. Jim Butler Linn Chevrolet invites you to try the Cruze Hatchback when it arrives this fall!

The 2017 Chevrolet Silverado HD Features an All-New Air-Intake System Fit for the Worst Conditions

MidMo Powerhouse is excited to announce that the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado HD will feature an all-new patented air intake system that is designed both to cool down the engine during intense driving conditions, and to increase engine performance. In fact, the new system will provide 60 percent of the air used to cool the Duramax diesel engine.
The revolutionary air intake system is housed within a hood that is significantly larger than the hoods of HD’s past. This system feeds air to the engine that is roughly the same temperature as the air outside, allowing for increased vehicle performance as well as power and speed maintenance during even the worst driving conditions.

Eric Stanczak, chief engineer of the Silverado HD explains that “the 2017 Silverado HD was engineered to provide maximum utility for our customers.” This HD’s engine can breath even when blocked—the air filter housing pumps 40 percent more air to a location within the truck’s fender, which then goes on to fill the engine’s combustion chambers.

In order for the engine to run at its peak performance level, the air must not only be cool, but dry as well. Chevrolet has perfected the new air intake system even further by adding an air/water separator, which takes in air at such a high velocity that it is separated from any humidity or water. It then drains the water through a valve.

The 2017 Chevrolet Silverado HD is expected to hit dealers later this year. Head to Jim Butler Linn Chevrolet, your Mid MO Chevy Powerhouse!
