2022 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD Bears Burly Witness to the Fact that the “Fun has Arrived”

Here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse when the phrase “Heavy-duty pickup truck” is thrown around, our select breed of customer kind of needs the truck to get up and go at the drop of a hat and prove itself! Chevy has loaded the 2022 Silverado 2500 HD with heaping amounts of the newest technology, accessories, and additions that make it the world’s best number for play or work. Just as the staff on duty at Autoinfluence.com agreed, this is the most capable and strongest Silverado HD ever.

Stepping back just a few decades in time, the pickups many grew up around were almost exclusively for work: you could haul a clipped load, cords of wood, or whichever large appliance then needed swapping out at your house. The function was focused on instead of any level of comfort or features, and many people remember playing tug of war over legroom with other siblings and passengers in the back. Even if they had one row or two of seats in the back, they were in existence for their ability to tow and haul, not really to seat people or offer up a ride memorable for smoothness.

The Silverado 2500 HD is most definitely flaunted as a heavy-duty powerhouse performance model but still isn’t around for the sheer purposes of hauling bales of hay, moving the contracting crew to change sites, or the all-important duty of horse trailering. They can do all of that and then some, but it is one of the new breeds of hybrid vehicles that have ample space and an abundance of power for both hard work and very rewarding playtime. The 2022 Silverado 2500 HD is a complete gladiator when it comes to being rugged, always ready, and tough, with its max towing capability of 18,510 pounds and more space for cargo hauling than any other truck in existence.

Not only does this truck post more than 12 tie downs for all the toys you're going to want to bring along to the lake, their loss of features, ingenious cargo area lighting function, and even an outlet that will charge anything like a small TV or electric cooler while you are in the wild. The special editions that Chevy has come out with lately have made so many customers excited to own a new rig and display their individual flair: the 2022 Silverado 2500 HD Carharrt edition sees the addition of badges, a pinstripe, and a soft roll-up cover.

The Autoinfluence crew was on point ready to take this truck and put it to the test during off-roading trail excursion in California. As they descended on some of the most awesome and scenic recreational land in America, they loved the fact that they could throw in an air mattress, pillows, and a couple blankets in the back and enjoy the summer and star gazing until they fell asleep. This is where it was discovered that this truck would also be the ideal beast for tailgate season, with the Multiflex system that allows you to gain quick access and have plenty of room for friends, cocktails, and the ultimate grub!

2022 Chevy Equinox Undergoes Sizzling Summer Price Reduction to Jumpstart June Excitement

Here at the Mid Missouri Powerhouse during the hot months of summer, we know full well that you have a lot of expenses piling up! Picnics, keeping the kids and rest of the family entertained, and handing out cash whenever anyone wants to go miniature golfing or gas money for the lake was not quite the relaxing month of June you had planned on! Thanks to the many incentives that Chevy wants for customers over the summer, we are offering interest-free financing for up to 60 months on the compact crossover, and “sign and drive” leases for the 2022 Equinox FWD LT!

During June we completely understand that everyone needs a little financial push, and we're standing by to help make sure that you drive away and get a current and economical SUV that is perfect for your family’s needs. Purchase offers for a 2022 Equinox now offer a $1,250 cash allowance, and for financing on the same, you’ll receive the benefit of 0 percent APR for up to 60 months through GM Financial. On the leasing end, the 2022 Equinox FWD LT is being allotted $299 for 36 months, while enjoying the ultra-low mileage lease with 10,000 miles annually.

The Equinox is enjoying its mid-cycle refresh for the fifth model year of the third-generation compact crossover, which includes a long list of changes and updates such as brand-new paint colors, the ultimate in style enhancements, and the arrival of the sporty RS trim level. For 2022, the Base L trim level was dropped, with the LS now in the position of entry-level trim and RS being added just above the LT. You’ll be constantly enjoying a roomy five-seat interior, a user-friendly infotainment system, and an excellent assortment of safety features.

The Equinox’s infotainment system now supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the addition of Hands-Free Park Assist. The Equinox has quite a bit in common with its corporate cousin in the form of the GMC Terrain: the cabin is Sturdy and well put-together, and it muffles a good amount of road and wind noise at higher speeds. Where we know that the Equinox will be a huge summer hit right here at the Powerhouse is by seeing its Infotainment system in action: the standard 7-inch and 8-inch touchscreens are simply laid out but very responsive, and their positioning makes them a snap to see and adjust during the drive.

Additional standard available features are keyless entry and push-button start, and the ideal warm-weather and visual enjoyment of a panoramic sunroof. The cargo space is at 29.9 cubic feet of space behind its rear seats, and 63.9 cubic feet with these seats folded… this is enough room for a couple of ready-to-rock mountain bikes, a large amount of camping gear, or a few XXL and weekend-ready tools from Home Depot. For each trip to the fun park or any sporting event, the Equinox has two complete sets of LATCH connectors for the rear outboard seats and a tether anchor for rear middle seat security.

Mighty and Incoming Chevy Silverado May Boast a Straight-Six Powertrain, Keeping Raw Power Ideals and Performance Alive

Caleb Jacobs of The Drive has just lamented over the past week that he personally thought it had been way too long since a new pickup truck for us here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse was offered with a straight-six gas engine. They have unique smoothness and rapidly Torquey quality and can provide the workhorse's duties fair share when revving in the delightfully low end. A newly released report from GM Authority had indicated that Chevy could be looking to bring this heavily loved power plant layout back to our esteemed half-ton lineup.

The current Silverado model is still offered with a turbo 2.7-liter 4-cylinder as standard, with the option to upgrade to a 5.3-liter or 6.2-liter gas V8, and if the smooth and rich personality of diesel is what you prefer, there’s the quintessential option of the 3.0-liter Duramax. We agree that it is one of the best ways to think of it as a V8 alternative, always ready to back you in the toughest of times, and an example of the best all-American-made powertrain in existence.

The addition of these two extra cylinders and a good deal of necessary displacement can make a huge difference in performance, with the ability to push it past 500 lb-ft of torque in an ideal scenario. It's no secret what the Stellantis folks are doing with the Hurricane 16 power plant, which could very well end up in the award-winning Ram 1500. Even with that engine cranking out 400 hp and 450 lb-ft in its most basic form, their higher-output version generates 510 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque.

This can serve as a versatile and viable reference point when one is looking at just what is possible with the very modern turbocharging technology that was not yet in existence when the straight-six format was a bit more frequently placed in trucks nationwide. Even though some of the top car experts are treating all these reports with a dose of understandable caution, none of it at all seems too far-fetched, as it could be a very savvy move to keep internal combustion around to enjoy some glory days in the form of a fiercely powerful nightcap. It is now a widely accepted fact that the Silverado EV is going to be here for the 2024 model year, but it may not be on tap to fully replace the ICE version right away.

The current-model Silverado gained much love from everyone out there including the Carconnection.com staff, who applauded it for its three large bed and cab choices, very powerful and efficient engine range, excellent standard technology and safety features, and well improved off-road ZR trim. Another fine point that this stellar review group noted was that the Silverado LT comes with some great standard features for the price, but the hands-free edition of Super Cruise is so good that the High Country trim is thoroughly well worth it. Fully loaded to the max and ready to do battle, the value in practicality-rich Silverado is one test drive experience you don't want to miss here this summer at the Powerhouse!
