Confidence Comes Standard: 2026 Traverse Fits the Whole Family

2026 Chevy Traverse

Here at the
Mid Missouri Powerhouse, we’ve seen plenty of SUVs come and go, but few balance space, technology, and comfort quite like the Chevrolet Traverse. While every 3-row SUV claims to be “family-friendly,” the Traverse backs it up with real usability. Its third row is roomy enough for adults on daily drives, cargo space is among the best in its class, and the tech features keep everyone connected and entertained. Add in options like the rugged Z71 trim or the sporty RS model, and you’ve got a family SUV that’s as versatile as it is stylish.

What’s New for 2026

The 2026 Traverse brings a couple of fresh touches, including two new paint colors, Polar White and Sandstone Gray, and an all-new Key Card feature. Just tap the card to unlock, lock, or even start your SUV. It’s simple, secure, and a nice step forward in everyday convenience.

Power, Ride, and Handling

Under the hood, the Traverse is powered by a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that cranks out 328 horsepower and plenty of torque for hauling kids, gear, or even a trailer. Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, it feels strong whether you’re running errands or loading up all three rows. For those who like a little adventure, the Z71 trim adds extra ground clearance, all-terrain tires, and all-wheel drive to give you confidence when the pavement ends.

The ride is smooth and stable, handling Missouri highways and winding backroads with ease. Steering is responsive, brakes feel solid, and the Traverse never feels out of its element, even when fully loaded.

Technology That Fits Your Life

Inside, the Traverse sets a high bar with a massive 17.7-inch infotainment screen, Google built-in features like Maps and Assistant, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It’s simple to use but packed with capability. A customizable 11-inch digital gauge cluster adds a modern touch.

Families will also love Smart Slide seats, which make getting in and out of the third row simple, even with child car seats installed. Speaking of the third row, the Traverse gives passengers real legroom, plus cupholders, USB ports, and vents so no one feels left out.

Space for It All

Whether it’s sports gear, a week’s worth of groceries, or luggage for a road trip, the Traverse has space to spare. With up to 97.6 cubic feet of cargo room when the seats are folded, it’s one of the most accommodating SUVs in its class.

Comfort and Confidence on the Road

Long drives feel easier thanks to available Super Cruise, one of the best hands-free driving systems on the market. It works on hundreds of thousands of miles of highways across North America and can even handle lane changes. Pair that with the available Bose premium audio system, and you’ve got the perfect setup for Missouri road trips.

Safety Comes Standard

The Traverse doesn’t just look after comfort; it looks after your family’s safety, too. It’s earned a 5-Star Overall Safety Rating from the NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick award from the IIHS. Standard features include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and much more.

Rugged or Sporty—Your Choice

Want an SUV that’s ready for mud and gravel roads? The Z71 brings off-road upgrades that live up to its legendary name. Prefer something sleek and athletic? The RS trim steps up with bold styling, 22-inch black wheels, and sharp interior accents.

Final Thoughts

The 2026 Chevy Traverse isn’t just another midsize SUV—it’s your family’s command center on wheels. With space for everyone, safety you can count on, and tech that makes every trip easier, it’s ready to handle the chaos of carpools, road trips, and everything in between.

The Long and the Tall of It: Chevy’s 2025 Traverse High Country Goes Supersized

2025 Chevy Traverse

At the Mid Missouri Powerhouse, we understand one ongoing truth: when you’ve got kids, there’s no such thing as “too much space.” Between strollers, folding cribs, and the occasional upright bass or goalie pads, life with kids means traveling with what feels like an entire mobile home. That’s exactly why the newly redesigned 2025 Chevrolet Traverse High Country hits home for growing families—it’s spacious, smartly equipped, and ready to handle just about anything your crew throws at it.

Engineered for Real Family Life

Families don’t travel light—and neither should your SUV. With every redesign, Chevy listens to what real parents need. For 2025, the Traverse grows taller, wider, and longer, maximizing every inch for passengers and cargo alike. It’s now closer than ever in size to its big sibling, the Tahoe—only without the extra bulk when it comes to maneuvering through parking lots or tight turns around town.

Under the hood, a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine replaces the old V6. On paper, it’s more powerful, and it boosts efficiency slightly, too. In practice, it may not be the quickest off the line, but once you're up to speed, it cruises quietly and confidently—perfect for long drives and highway comfort.

Comfort Comes Standard

Inside the Traverse High Country, you’ll find an interior that caters to everyone—especially the driver. The 17.7-inch infotainment display stands front and center, offering Google integration and the ability to download apps like Spotify and Waze directly into the vehicle. Prefer your phone’s setup? Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are still available, keeping you connected your way.

The cabin is packed with comforts: a heated, power-adjustable steering wheel, ventilated front seats, second-row captain’s chairs with heating, and a power-folding third-row—all designed to simplify your day-to-day routine. Even the little things—like physical knobs for climate control and an ultra-clear 10-speaker Bose® sound system—make life inside this SUV feel more manageable.

Super Cruise™ technology is also available, enabling hands-free driving on hundreds of thousands of miles of mapped highways. Translation: more time clapping to your toddler’s playlist, less time clenching the wheel on long road trips.

Room for Everyone—and Then Some

The Traverse shines where it matters most: space. Second-row passengers enjoy panoramic views and generous legroom, while access to the third row is seamless—even with a car seat installed. Adults can comfortably ride in the 3rd row thanks to smart seat height and ceiling clearance.

Even fully loaded with passengers, the Traverse provides a cavernous cargo area—plus an underfloor storage bin for stashing bags, gear, or snacks. Fold down the second and third rows and you'll have nearly 100 cubic feet of cargo capacity, rivaling some full-size SUVs and outperforming most competitors in the three-row segment.

On the Road: Smoother Than You’d Expect

While the Traverse may not leap off the line, it delivers a smooth, composed ride. The eight-speed automatic transmission shifts gracefully, and the ride quality remains impressive—even on 22-inch wheels. Its handling is surprisingly precise for a vehicle this size, making it feel secure and responsive whether you're cruising the interstate or navigating back roads.

Practical Luxury, Real-World Utility

Let’s be clear—this isn’t a luxury SUV in disguise. The interior materials lean more practical than plush, and some of the design choices prioritize function over form. But for most families, that’s exactly what’s needed. Durable surfaces, easy-to-clean materials, and a straightforward layout make everyday life easier. The available lighter interior tones do help brighten the mood inside, and they’re worth considering if you want a more inviting cabin feel.

Why Families Across Missouri Are Choosing the 2025 Traverse

Whether you’re managing a carpool, heading out for a tournament weekend, or just trying to make daily errands less chaotic, the Traverse High Country delivers with confidence.

Your Journey, Smarter: The 2025 Chevy Traverse Elevates Every Drive

2025 Chevy Traverse

The
2025 Chevrolet Traverse is a standout in the midsize SUV category, offering impressive value for families seeking space, comfort, and practicality. The Traverse is designed to handle everything from daily drives to road trips with ease, making it a versatile and reliable choice here at the Mid Missouri Powerhouse.

Chevrolet made some great updates in 2024, and this second-year version of the Traverse carries those improvements forward. Although it remains largely unchanged for 2025, one notable shift is that the base trim is now the LT, replacing the LS, while maintaining a high standard of features.

Exterior: The Traverse’s exterior design is sleek and modern, with a refreshed front fascia, clean lines along the sides, and a sharp shark fin on the rear windows. The 22" aluminum wheels paired with Lakeshore Blue paint give it a bold look, while the dual exhaust and built-in spoiler add to its sporty appeal. LED lighting on the front and rear, along with tasteful chrome details, elevate the overall aesthetic.

Powertrain: Under the hood, the 2025 Traverse offers a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque, along with a 5,000-pound towing capacity. This engine option is a great balance of power and efficiency, making it an excellent choice for families who need performance without sacrificing fuel economy. The 8-speed automatic transmission ensures smooth driving, and while front-wheel drive is standard, all-wheel drive is also available for added capability.

Interior: The Traverse’s interior is where comfort and functionality truly shine. The High Country trim, in particular, boasts an upscale cabin with soft-touch materials and premium stitching. The white leather seats with black accents give it a luxurious feel. The 11" digital gauge cluster is bright and configurable, offering various views to display speed, trip information, and audio controls.

The centerpiece of the cabin is the 17.7" touchscreen, which controls everything from the Bose 10-speaker sound system to navigation and smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It’s intuitive, fast, and packed with features like Google Assistant, Alexa, and even a trailer hitch camera for easy towing.

The front seats are power-adjustable, heated, and ventilated for comfort in all conditions. The second row offers ample space with heated captain's chairs, and a 3rd-row seat that easily accommodates two adults or three kids. The rear rows feature USB-C ports, and the second row even slides and reclines for maximum comfort.

Utility: The Traverse excels in cargo capacity with up to 58 cubic feet behind the third row and 98 cubic feet when the second row is folded down. The hands-free power liftgate is a convenient feature, allowing easy access to the trunk, and you can fold the third row at the push of a button.

Technology & Safety: Standard features on the High Country trim include adaptive cruise control, lane change alerts, and forward collision mitigation. One standout feature is GM’s Super Cruise, a semi-autonomous driving system, available with the Traverse, which allows for hands-free driving on certain highways. It’s one of the best systems available, offering a seamless experience that enhances long trips.

The Traverse also includes Teen Driver features to monitor young drivers, a rear seat reminder to ensure you never leave anything (or anyone) behind, and a host of safety tech like automatic parking assist and lane-keeping assist.

Ride & Drive: The Traverse is a joy to drive, offering a smooth, quiet ride thanks to active noise-canceling technology. It handles well for its size, with easy steering and solid feedback. Despite its large size, it remains agile and stable around curves. The vehicle is rated at 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway, making it a solid choice for families who want a balance of power and efficiency.

Price & Value: The 2025 Chevrolet Traverse High Country starts at $54,995, which is an excellent value considering the upscale interior, spacious cabin, and high-tech features. If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly option, the LT trim starts at $40,600 and still offers a great level of equipment.

The 2025 Chevrolet Traverse is a standout in the SUV world, offering a perfect balance of space, power, and convenience for families on the go. With its modern design and thoughtful features, it delivers the kind of reliable, comfortable ride that’s ideal for everyday adventures. Whether you’re heading to soccer practice or exploring the great outdoors, the Traverse continues to impress, delivering a smooth, enjoyable drive without compromising on practicality or value.

Roomier, Smoother, Smarter: The New Chevy Traverse is the SUV You’ve Been Waiting For

2025 Chevy Traverse

The Chevrolet Traverse recently launched its third generation with the 2024 model, so there's still an abundance of driving thrills to enjoy from this rugged three-row crossover. Known for its versatility, the Traverse already competes confidently with big names like the Kia Telluride and Toyota Grand Highlander. And Chevy has bigger plans for 2025—not only refining its current model but also expanding into new global markets.

The LT, short for Luxury Touring, comes packed with all the tech and comfort needed here at The Mid-Missouri Powerhouse. You’ll find a leather-wrapped steering wheel, power-adjustable driver’s seat, wireless charging pad, power liftgate, and tons of driver-assist features to make every trip smooth. Plus, it comes standard with an advanced trailering system, ready to haul up to 5,000 pounds—so it’s as practical as it is comfortable!

The off-road-ready Z71 trim builds on everything the LT has and adds even more rugged features. It’s got standard AWD paired with a dual-clutch transmission for a smooth off-road experience, upgraded suspension, skid plates, extra ground clearance, and an advanced trailering system. Plus, the Z71 adds its own unique decals and styling touches for that bold, adventurous look. Both trims come equipped with a big, bright 11-inch digital gauge cluster and an even larger 17.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, making it easy to stay connected and in control!

All models come with a durable unibody frame that combines the agility of a crossover with the capability of a truck—great for towing and taking on rougher roads without missing a beat. Despite its strength, the ride stays smooth and comfortable, even on bumpy terrain, which makes a big difference for folks dealing with rugged environments. For an extra edge, the Z71 trim offers even higher ground clearance with big off-road tires, an upgraded suspension, handy terrain management features, and some sharp decals for that rugged, stylish touch.

For 2025, the Chevy Traverse comes in four trims: LT, Z71, RS, and High Country. Every trim offers a roomy cabin that comfortably seats up to seven, with a spacious third-row fit for two adults. The LT, the entry-level option, packs plenty of great features right out of the gate, from a wireless phone charger and comfy interior to advanced connectivity and flexible cargo space.

For those looking to elevate their ride, the higher trims bring a lot to the table. The RS trim adds a sporty edge with unique color accents and bold red interior stitching. Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line High Country trim delivers luxury, with premium touches like a 10-speaker Bose sound system, noise-canceling tech, and rain-sensing wipers. The High Country also includes the Driver Confidence Package with top safety features and comes with a three-year subscription to Chevrolet's SuperCruise, ensuring that this SUV is as smart as it is stylish.

For those looking for the best value, the base LT trim is a smart choice. It comes loaded with a generous list of standard features, all at a price that’s noticeably lower than the other trims. Plus, with the budget-friendly starting point, there’s room to add some great extras like the Enhanced Driving and Driver Confidence packages without pushing the Traverse’s price too high.

When it comes to safety, the 2025 Chevy Traverse has you covered with Chevy Safety Assist, which comes packed with driver assistance features. You’ll get front automatic emergency braking that works for vehicles, pedestrians, and even cyclists! Plus, there’s adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, high-beam assist, and intersection collision avoidance.

For an extra boost of convenience, the available Super Cruise hands-free driving technology is also on hand, depending on the trim. So, whether you're cruising around town or hitting the highway, this SUV has plenty of tech to keep you feeling secure.

2025 Chevy Traverse High Country: The Finer Things in Life, Dipped in Four Wheels

2024 Chevy Traverse

Getting the family around in style is always a hot topic here during back-to-school season at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse! We have many various models that are all up to the task, with each one offering their own unique sense of style. The 2025 Chevy Traverse is creating quite a buzz with its third-generation debut, boasting a few notable updates for the second model year. The High Country trim is now going to make a reintroduction, poised to impress and provide ultimate comfort.

The Traverse exists directly below the very sporty RS trim and offers the segment-leading essence of luxury feel. As buyers look to meet their on-the-road demands in style this fall, they’ll immediately notice that all the stops have been pulled out to make this truly special. The High Country starts things off with the same steering wheel found on the Z71 and LT. You’ll enjoy numerous memorable views courtesy of the power panoramic sunroof. This allows for the coming season’s brilliance to shine ideally through!

The High Country is equipped with everything to make it glossy even down to the door handles. The exclusive body-color ones included now sport a defining new chrome strip. The High Country rolls proudly on segment-exclusive 22-inch aluminum wheels while still using the same all-season tires as the RS. You have your choice of two exclusive interior colorways, Jet Black with Bronze accents and Jet Black with Sky Cool Gray. The High Country’s leather-appointed seats won’t fail to impress.

The element eagerly supplying the power is the 2.5-liter I-4 LKO gas engine, which rides on the GM C1-2 platform. Production is being handled by the determined employees of the Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan. The Motor Trend crew was happy during their review to proclaim that “Three-row SUVs don’t have to be blobby lifted minivans!” They also praised the 2025 model for its modernized turbocharged engine and well-updated infotainment suite.

We are confident that the Traverse will fare amazingly well when held up to its rivals, which include the Subaru Ascent, Honda Pilot, and Kia Telluride. This testing crew enjoyed the larger displays and heavily updated array of active safety technology. This model still hasn’t introduced a plug-in or hybrid, and all of us at the Powerhouse think that’s ok! While the future is hurtling towards us with its promise of efficiency and resourcefulness, many elements from the present are still performing above par.

The maximum trailer rating is 5,000 lbs, and the Z71 model is the one that delivers conquering off-road capability. The Traverse should continue to be equipped with the Chevy Safety Assist features which include forward collision alert, following distance indicator, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, high-beam assist, and front braking for pedestrians and cyclists. Cargo capacity is anticipated to reside at around 97.6 cubic feet with the second and third rows slipped down.

Each 2025 Chevy Traverse will come standard with a 17.7-inch touchscreen display and an 11-inch digital instrument cluster. The experts at Autoblog were excited about the Traverse’s brand-new looks, which are now more aligned with the body-on-frame persona. Passengers will also love the dual screens on the dash that are the anchor for a very tech-rich focal base. To improve fuel economy, the new engine employs an “ePhaser” that periodically adjusts the camshaft to advance and delay the spark accordingly.

Never Settle for Uncool: The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse’s Truck-Inspired, No-Nonsense Design

As we dig deep into the car ads and digital listings nationwide here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse, it is not uncommon to see SUVs and pickup trucks on sale for under six figures! As prices are currently jumping everywhere you look, many buyers would love the opportunity to find a way to cut that price in half, and still be able to buy a sweet 7 or 8-seater that rides high. We were thrilled that Chevy realizes many families aren’t too excited about minivans, which gives the new Traverse potential to become your driveway’s next best thing.

Purchasing a vehicle these days may feel like too hefty of an expense, but we can all agree that public transportation still leaves leaps and bounds of functionality to be desired. The new Traverse offers up a front-wheel drive vehicle with seating for up to 8, an amazingly crisp 6-speaker sound system, a power liftgate, and a 17.7-inch LCD infotainment display with Google capability baked in. A 360-degree HD camera system included as standard along with adaptive cruise control are other huge advantages the Traverse boasts over the competition.

The entry-level trim rides on 18-inch rims, all-season tires are wrapped around them, and a handy spare is included in the trunk! The 20-inch wheels are available with the Midnight Edition, which also nicely darkens out the window trim. Power is now supplied by a turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine which cranks out 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque and is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Traverse has a cool choice of available colors, with Summit White, Mosaic Black Metallic, Sterling Gray Metallic, and Lakeshore Blue Metallic
available at no extra cost.

Recent technological advances have made a huge difference in crowded urban areas, as features such as intersection automatic emergency braking and pedestrian and cyclist braking will step in immediately to help you avoid damaging outcomes. The LT trim steps things up nicely with extra features such as wireless phone charging, and Iridescent Pearl and Radiant Red Tintcoat paint hues. The off-road-ready Z71 package offers up the trail-tackling confidence of extras such as all-terrain wheels, a beefed-up suspension, a burly trailering package, and all-wheel drive.

The RS trim makes a return to front-wheel-drive but increases the size of the wheels to 22 inches, while also adding the hands-free Super Cruise advanced driver-assistance system along with Bose audio and the rearview camera mirror. The Autoevolution bloggers put the Traverse to the test and then claimed the LT trim as their favorite, which arrived smartly and decked out in a Lakeshore Blue Metallic exterior, all-wheel drive, 20-inch wheels, and the atmospheric enjoyment of the panoramic power sunroof.

The Car and Driver staff praised the 2024 Chevy Traverse for its “incredibly spacious interior, excellent 3rd-row confines, and awesome braking feel.” Their test drive also led them to claim that the addition of Super Cruise gives the vehicle the sharpened edge it needs to muscle in on rival territory properly. The Traverse’s steering also provided these experts with a very engaging and truck-like quality, along with a family-friendly and comfortable ride. When equipped with the optional Trailering package, the Traverse can tow up to 5,000 lbs, and it ranks among the most cargo-friendly SUVs in its class with over 97 cubic feet of space.
