Throughout the last five years of Chevrolet’s participation, the volunteer technicians have serviced about 200 vehicles of all makes and models. This year, about 40,000 classic cars are expected to participate in the event.
Scott Williams, Chevrolet Certified Service Marketing Marketing Manager stated, “Classic car lovers take great care of their vehicles, but unforeseen issues can crop up, especially given the long hours of the Dream Cruise. The professional technicians from the Chevrolet Certified Rescue Squad look forward to keeping this year’s classics on the road, cruising."
Looking for some advice before you hit the road? Here are some suggestions the Rescue Squad has to offer:
- Be sure your car battery is charged, the terminals are clean and check for any wear and tear on the alternator belt and distributor cap
- Check all fluid levels and bring extra to top off when you may need it
- Check the pressure and condition of all tires
- Be sure your wiper blades are in good condition- just in case
This year’s Dream Cruise should be a good one, all thanks to Chevy!
