4 Road Trips To Take In Your Chevy Equinox This Fall

Fall has officially made its arrival and what better time to take a road trip than now? From scenic rides with the family to a fun weekend getaway with friends- there are great places to visit for everyone! Check out the four best places to take your Chevy Equinox from Jefferson City, MO!

Katy Trail State Park - Statewide

This 240-mile trail stretches through many cities of Missouri- including Jefferson City, Columbia, Lebanon, Osage Beach, and Sedalia, so you don’t have to go too far to find it. No matter what city you visit, each part of the trail will offer you something new. Whether you’re hiking, biking or horse riding, you will find wineries, bed & breakfasts, shopping opportunities and even more along the way!

Kansas City, Missouri

Want a weekend out and about with friends? With lots of parks, expansive boulevards, unique eateries and quite the cocktail scene, Kansas City is the perfect place to head to. This hip city is about a two hour drive and will keep you occupied from the Country Club Plaza all the way to Westport. Shopping, art and of course, the Royals and Chiefs are other great ways to spend your time in the City of Fountains!

Arcadia Valley

Arcadia Valley is full of scenic views- especially in the fall! Located just under three hours from Jefferson City, MO, this is one of our favorite places to check out the foliage. Here, you’ll find Elephant Rocks State Park- a self-guided trail through giant billion-year-old granite boulders; Johnson Shut-Ins State Park- these “shut-ins” were formed over millions of years by the waters of the Black River; and lastly, Taum Sauk Mountain State Park- a trail that leads from Missouri’s highest point to Mina Sauk Falls, the state’s tallest wet waterfall. There are plenty of lodges to call home base in Arcadia Valley or you can set up your own camper/tent at any of the surrounding campgrounds… don’t forget the s’mores supplies!

Historical St. Charles

St. Charles, just 25 minutes outside of Downtown St. Louis, was founded in 1769 and served as Missouri’s first state capital. Along the quaint and historic South Main Street, you will find over 100 shops, restaurants, and cafes to stroll about. Interested in a little spook? Check out the St. Charles Ghost Tours to get some history on the city and visit some places where ghostly activity has been reported!
