2022 Chevy Silverado Aims to Lower Emissions Spanning Comprehensive Engine Lineup

The fully refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 will hit the lots at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse with a slew of new changes over the 2021 model year, with the most notable being an essential reduction in greenhouse-gas emissions for every engine in the lineup.

The 2022 model achieved a 5.8 percent reduction in greenhouse gas. Models being released four years down the line will brandish the naturally-aspirated 4.3-liter LV3 gasoline engine along with a naturally-aspirated 5.3-liter V8 L82 gas engine, while the six-speed automatic transmission will be discontinued. Since models such as the Chevy Silverado are so popular, they will play an integral role in helping ease the transition.

Most 2022 Silverado models have an updated cabin with better materials, a fully digital gauge cluster and 13.4-inch touchscreen, and the hands-free driving technology of Super Cruise available on the top trim. Pickup trucks were once much simpler body-on-frame tools of the trade ultimately defined by their engine output and maximum tow rating, and today’s pickups see much more strict judgement based on their technology features and interiors providing luxury elements.

Even the lower trim levels will have driver-assistance technologies that are now seen as standard across the board, including automated emergency braking, lane keeping assist, and high-beam headlights. Every 2022 Silverado now features front-end styling, and select models with wind-shaping running lights now feature an animated lighting sequence! Silverado models equipped with the Duramax diesel 3.0-liter inline-six now also benefit from chassis updates with the Max Trailering Package, which now enables a range-topping towing state of 13,300 pounds.

Chevy Blazer Tops J.D. Power's Seat Satisfaction Survey

The Chevy Blazer was recently honored as a top pick in the J.D. Power 2021 U.S. Seat Quality And Satisfaction Study. This study ranks vehicles based on how consumers rate the comfort of their seats.

To complete this study, J.D. Power surveyed 110,827 customers who had just purchased or leased the a 2021 model year vehicle and asked them to provide a seat rating based on ergonomics, comfort level, and the perceived quality of manufacturing. The responses were used to score each vehicle based on the problems reported per 100 vehicles, with a lower score meaning a higher seat quality. The seats in the Blazer had an average of just 6.1 complaints per 100 vehicles, rendering them the best-performing seats in the large SUV category.

These seats are proudly manufactured in the United States by Southfield, Michigan-based supplier Lear Corporation. They are more durable and outperform the alternative cloth upholstery during many tests that measure back and leg circulation along with drive-time posture. Viable leather alternatives have evolved to a point where they can be used without sacrificing customer experience and possess a unique comfort all their own.

Reintroduced two years ago, the Blazer is now a midsize crossover, situated comfortably just between the Equinox and Traverse in Chevy’s lineup. Proving itself right away as one of the top-selling models in its segment, it will receive a mid-cycle enhancement for the 2023 model year with updated interior and exterior styling, and a complete refresh of its technology features. Production for next year’s model started this week, and test models in light camouflage have already been spotted!

The model spotted was the Premier trim with black paint and black-and-white camo to obscure the revised styling underneath. It sported a new front fascia along with revisions to the grille and front lighting elements. On top of being the most comfortable seating, we also expect a larger infotainment screen and an improved center stack design.

Chevy Silverado EV Set to Debut at 2022 CES

The brand-new Silverado electric pickup will make its industry debut at the Consumer Electronics Show 2022, where influential technology is on display for the public eye.

Some of the most important details were disclosed in the Chevy Pressroom blog. The truck will have a fixed-glass roof, increased headroom, and more space for both front and rear passengers. Designed as an EV from the ground up, the Silverado EV offers the massive performance value and strength that customers need from a solid truck along with a range of more than 400 miles on a single charge. The Ultium Platform will act as the perfect solution for the future, as it makes torque and zero-emissions driving possible without sacrificing any elements of power or capability.

Available Four-Wheel Steer will provide increased agility and tighter turning radius at low speed, along with better stability at high speeds. Most industry experts are looking forward to a more classic take on an electric pickup truck. Car and Driver reported there will be three available electric motors depending on trim, and all-wheel drive will likely be standard.

It is expected that trims higher up the ladder such as the LTZ and High Country will offer the trademark luxury features that Silverado drivers have long come to love. The amazing new Ultium battery technology can be scaled up to create a battery pack as large as 200 kWh, and electric power has now been expertly engineered to assure that towing will be no problem.

The face of the Silverado has changed a bit and is destined to be a bit friendlier to the Earth, and we are excited as could be to witness the Silverado prepare for a game-changing and innovative future!

2022 Tahoe and Suburban Arrive Newly-Equipped With Google Assistant Functions, Ferocious V8

The 2022 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban both have new options that make them even more viable! The massive space, high-tech offerings, and top-tier drive quality radically set these two apart from the rest. The RST, Z71, and Premier trim levels boast the 6.2-liter V8 ranked at 420 horsepower, fully locked and loaded with dual exhaust and Dynamic Fuel Management Technology.

These vehicles now offer Magnetic Ride Control on the Premier, High Country, and Z71 trims. This feature has such quick reactions that you can sense how well it adapts every split second. The electronic limited-slip differential has done a phenomenal job of boosting performance while allowing for sports car handling, and power can be quickly shifted to the wheel if slip is detected on either side.

While you’re backing up, easing into a parking spot, or just cruising on the highway during an extended trip, having access to many camera views will help with the split-second judgments every driver has to make during a tight situation. There are now 13 available camera views, with anyone hauling valuable cargo given the ability to “see through” a connected, compatible trailer with a properly equipped truck.

Every trim LT and above includes Google Assistant, Maps, and Google Play on the vehicle display. You will have total control of phone calls and messaging, audio volume, instant navigation with Google maps, HVAC control, and your preferred choice of SiriusXM Channel! Production began this month, and they will be parading at the front line of the New Year’s best vehicles due to its space, well-equipped status, and sophisticated suspension that makes long trips comfortable all the time.

The Tahoe has been praised for the abundance of rear legroom as well as its towing and hauling capabilities. The Edmunds.com team deemed the Tahoe as “excellent” for navigating city streets, and for boasting taut and firm steering while still letting you know you’re at the helm of a large SUV. The Tahoe’s 10.2-inch screen and navigation offer crisp and clear graphics, an easy-to understand menu, and fast response time. Everyone along for the ride will feel that much more at home with plenty of useful charging ports situated through the cabin for all of your devices!
