2025 Chevrolet Suburban: A Legacy of Power, Space, and Luxury at 90 Years Strong

2025 Chevrolet Suburban

Few vehicles are as iconic on American roads as the full-size SUV, and none hold a more prominent place in the segment than the
Chevrolet Suburban. As the longest-running nameplate in automotive history, continuously produced since 1935, the Suburban is synonymous with capability, space, and luxury. The 2025 model of this legendary SUV marks a significant milestone, as Chevrolet continues to enhance and refine the Suburban while staying true to the qualities that have made it a staple on the road for nearly 90 years.

At the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse, we’ve seen firsthand how the 2025 Suburban has captured the attention of families and adventurers. With refreshed features both inside and out, the latest Suburban strikes a balance between modern luxury and traditional ruggedness. Chevrolet has refined the overall design while maintaining the commanding proportions that have long defined the Suburban

Redesigned front and rear lighting give the SUV a contemporary look, while the grille styles vary by trim level, offering buyers a wide range of customization options. Whether you prefer the more understated elegance of the LT or the boldness of the High Country, the 2025 Suburban has something for everyone.

A Striking Road Presence

One of the standout changes for 2025 is the Suburban’s attention to its exterior design. With wheel sizes ranging from 18 inches to a staggering 24 inches, the Suburban has an undeniable road presence that turns heads wherever it goes. The larger wheel designs, especially when paired with the optional air and magnetic suspension systems, allow the Suburban to glide over rough surfaces with ease, enhancing its already impressive on-road performance.

Each trim level offers its own distinct personality. The off-road-ready Z71 stands out with features such as skid plates, all-terrain tires, and enhanced ground clearance, while the luxurious High Country trim is all about comfort and upscale features, making it perfect for drivers who want capability and class.

Across the range, Chevrolet has equipped the Suburban with a variety of options that can be tailored to the needs of any driver, whether you're towing a trailer, transporting a large family, or simply looking for a reliable SUV that can handle any adventure.

Powertrain Options: Something for Everyone

The 2025 Chevrolet Suburban offers three powerful engine options, ensuring there’s a powertrain that fits every driver’s preferences. The standard engine is the tried-and-true 5.3-liter V8, producing 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque.

Paired with GM’s smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission, this engine provides ample power for daily driving and light towing duties. For those who need a bit more muscle, the available 6.2-liter V8 cranks out 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, delivering a noticeable performance boost, especially for heavier towing tasks.

The 2025 Suburban also offers an upgraded 3.0-liter Duramax diesel engine. This turbocharged inline-six delivers 305 horsepower and an impressive 495 lb-ft of torque, making it an excellent choice for those who prioritize fuel efficiency and towing capability. The diesel option, with its improved pistons, injectors, and turbochargers, can tow up to 8,200 pounds, making it a powerhouse in the full-size SUV category.

Smooth Ride and Advanced Handling

The 2025 Suburban offers more than just power—it also delivers a refined and comfortable ride. Buyers can choose between standard steel springs or upgrade to adjustable air suspension, which enhances ride comfort, particularly when carrying heavy loads or driving over uneven terrain. Higher-end trims, like the Premier and High Country, come with adaptive Magnetic Ride dampers, which can also be added to the RST and Z71 trims.

This advanced suspension system works with the air suspension to deliver a smooth, controlled ride even with the massive 24-inch wheels. It’s a system designed to balance comfort and performance, making the Suburban as enjoyable to drive as it is practical.

Though the air suspension provides a plush ride, it can introduce a bit more body roll during aggressive cornering, especially with larger wheels. However, for most drivers, the benefits of a smoother, more comfortable ride far outweigh any minor drawbacks. Whether you're navigating city streets, highways, or off-road trails, the Suburban's suspension systems offer control and comfort that elevates the driving experience.

Tech-Savvy Interior

Inside, Chevrolet has ensured that the 2025 Suburban remains one of the most technologically advanced SUVs on the market. The interior’s centerpiece is the updated infotainment system, which features Google Maps integration for easy navigation. Physical buttons for climate control enhance ease of use. Higher trims offer even more tech-focused features like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making every trip more convenient and enjoyable.

Safety is a priority for Chevrolet, and the Suburban is equipped with the standard Chevy Safety Assist suite, which includes forward collision alert, lane-keeping assist, and lane departure warning. For those who want the latest driving technology, higher trims offer Super Cruise, Chevrolet’s semi-autonomous driving system that allows for hands-free driving on compatible highways. This feature makes long road trips more enjoyable and less tiring for drivers.

The Suburban: Built for Adventure

With its 2025 update, the Chevrolet Suburban remains a top contender in the full-size SUV market. Whether you need an SUV that can handle family road trips, off-road adventures, or heavy towing, the Suburban’s range of trims, powerful engine options, and advanced technology make it a strong choice for any driver.

At Mid-Missouri Powerhouse, we’re proud to offer the latest Suburban to our customers, showcasing the best of what Chevrolet has to offer. After 90 years of production, the Suburban continues to evolve, blending its legacy of power and durability with modern luxury and technology to meet the needs of today’s drivers.

There's nothing as satisfying as hitting the road during the fall season, and the 2025 Chevrolet Suburban is up for the task! With its unbeatable blend of capability and comfort, this SUV makes the perfect companion for leaf-peeping road trips, tailgate parties, or hauling gear for outdoor fall activities.

2025 Corvette ZR1 Presides Over Heavy-Hitting V8 Segment as Most Powerful Ever Made

2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1

Now that back-to-school season is finally here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse, the best memories of the summer are already in the rearview! As fireworks exploded and patriotic tunes blasted from car stereos this 4th of July, we thought about all the best things this nation has to offer! V8 power is one of them, as it has commandeered some of the most memorable car models of all time. The 2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1 now enjoys the title of the most powerful V8 American production car ever.

The record-setting power source is a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter flat-plane-crank V8 with 1,064 horsepower, 828 lb-ft of torque, and an 8,000-RPM redline. Its top speed is over 215 mph, and it trounces the quarter mile in less than ten seconds. For anyone making the thrill-inducing step up to the ZTK package, there are over 1,2000 pounds of malicious downforce. The ZR1 already was known for holding the title of the most powerful car in the Corvette lineup, so this well-cultivated brute force is no surprise.

Edging the highly anticipated needle over 1,000 hp is a first-time achievement for any Corvette! The last ZR1 blasted off the line with 755 horsepower, while the current-model Z06 shows up for battle brandishing 670. The ZR1's engine has a few things in common with the Z06's LT6. It's identified as the LT7 and has dibs on the same block casting as the 6. The block itself has undergone a unique machining process, and new forged pistons allow for a lower compression ratio. There's also a brand-new crankshaft in the mix, along with unique heads.

The twin ball-bearing turbochargers employ 76-millimeter compressor wheels, along with single-scroll volutes on the intake side. The incredibly modern addition of electronic wastegates allows them to be expertly tuned to minimize lag. “MAR” is a game-changing material that the turbines are constructed from, which has proven to be more efficient than the previously used Inconel. The turbo power is routed through a completely revamped 8-speed dual-clutch transmission that it shares with all other C8 models.

The suspension is such a crucial component in a machine that is capable of such record-breaking potency. The max downforce-enabling ZTK package is available for anyone who wants to try their hand at the local circuit, and the gigantic rear wing looks absolutely perfect in its place. The Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires boast a stiffer spring set, and you can opt for a coupe or convertible. There's another cool feature that has not been spotted on a 'Vette since the decade that spawned Jimi Hendrix and the Rolling Stones: a cool split rear window.

Since this earth-shattering ZR1 has brand-new carbon ceramic brake rotors and carbon fiber wheels, it still doesn't arrive with the burden of excessive weight. The new ZR1 can claim 44 very spry more horsepower than the Tesla Model S Plaid while arriving on the tarmac weighing almost an entire ton less. While closely eyeballing the gas-powered competition, the ZR1 also shows a more favorable power-to-weight ratio than the Bugatti Veyron.

Even though the engine has less displacement than seen in a base-model Corvette Stingray, the ZR1’s setup still enables it to be the recently crowned speed king. Just about every single inch of this Kentucky-assembled supercar has been closely engineered to provide maximum cooling. This new Chevy Corvette ZR1 uses the latest version of GM’s Magnetic Ride Damping, which can constantly tweak its firmness to ensure you stay properly glued to the road while commandeering curves.

2025 Chevy Silverado HD Trail Boss Establishes Residency as Tree Root and Boulder-Conquering Renegade

2025 Chevy Silverado HD Trail Boss

The light-duty Silverado 1500 was praised by the
Edmunds.com review crew for staying true to its old-school roots and candor, which anyone here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse can appreciate! The future-forward environment bears a massive amount of promise and luster, but some of the remaining rigs of the current time bring about a sense of comfort and value. Presiding as one apt and incredibly able pickup truck, the Silverado 1500 is available in a variety of trim levels, beginning with the base Work Truck.

This year marks the first time that Chevy has applied the element-conquering off-road treatment to the Silverado HD, with the first arrival at the tree-root-conquering races being the suspension components from the Z71 version. The sleek new black exterior front and rear bumpers bring about a certain flair that also extends to the set of unique 20-inch wheels, and a few other details that can be made out from the single officially released image of the Silverado HD Trail Boss

The heavy-duty Trail Boss is based on LT and LTZ models, and Chevy has made a few other small changes to the Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD lineups. What’s under the hood remains a perpetually hot topic, as it is the solid foundation for the final product and the element that sets the tone for the entire package. The HD comes standard with a 401-horsepower gas-powered 6.6-liter V8, along with the Duramax diesel 6.6-liter V8 making 470 horses and 975 lb-ft as another option. Another cool and personal-touch additive is the Trail Boss bed decals, along with red recovery hooks.

The High Country trim will receive Adaptive Cruise Control as standard equipment in 2025, and a stealth Black-Out Package will be available on the HD custom trim. The Silverado HD rides on a beefed-up version of the GM T1 platform, with production taking place by the resilient and hard-working men and women at the GM Flint Plant in Michigan. Staying true to its roots and seeing some notable updates to the technology and interior does a lot to help this truck be more competitive when pitted up against its hulking rivals.

The Edmunds review crew nailed the 60-mph mark in about 7 seconds from a standstill, then took the HD on a drive through an urban landscape where handling held secure. The Google-powered voice recognition system allows the driver to adjust climate control or even check out the newest podcast you’ve been dying to hear! The several available exterior cameras help when parking and the rear-cross traffic warning system offers a helpful buzz when navigating retail parking lots or busy streets. The Silverado 1500 has won many of the pickiest large-size truck fans over with its loads of towing power, and a commanding view of the road.

The U.S. News & World Report auto review crew ranked the 2025 Silverado as a “well-rounded half-ton truck that’s equally at home on the job site or pulling family road-trip duty.” Easygoing handling, intuitive infotainment operation, and a lineup of potent engines make the Silverado the first choice of ranchers, contractors, and small business owners nationwide. The cabin is handsome, incredibly well-built, and filled with great tech features. Affectionately hailed for “putting its head down and going about its business”, the 2025 Silverado Trail Boss is relatable, gritty, and always down for clutching its hard-earned keep!

Sleek, Stylish, and Smart: What’s New & Noteworthy in the 2024 Chevy Traverse

One of the top-selling SUVs in our lineup here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse in Linn, Missouri is the Chevy Traverse, and it’s getting a complete redesign for 2024. Moving into its third generation after its 2009 introduction, the Traverse is our 3-row midsize SUV, slotted comfortably in between the Tahoe and Blazer. It’s clear that Chevrolet listened to drivers who wanted a more truck-like look, as the redesigned Traverse has a much more rugged look.

The larger grill features a bar that spans the width of the vehicle and a prominent Chevy bowtie. Distinctive LED headlights and taillights are now standard, as well as dual exhaust. It has been thrilling to witness all the many unique ways in which trims have developed to brandish their own personality, and the Traverse RS sweeps onto the scene with a sportier look. It offers 22-inch high-gloss black aluminum wheels, gloss black trim, and Jet Black leather seats with red accents.

The Z71 trim level has been added to the Traverse lineup, drastically boosting the SUV’s off-road capability. It roars in with an extra inch of ground clearance, 18-inch gloss black wheels fitted with all-terrain tires, a twin-clutch AWD system, off-road suspension, and the incline-conquering hill descent control. Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology is now offered as well, which is an amazing technology boasting over 34 million hands-free miles driven. There’s also an aluminum skid plate to protect the front, and red tow hooks to tie things together.

Chevy VP Scott Bell excitedly claimed that the new Traverse was specially designed to perform more like an SUV and as a result would be in many more garages than the 2023 model year. All variants of the 2024 Traverse come standard with the all-new 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, cranking out 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission is standard, and all-wheel drive is an option on all trim levels. The all-new Traverse is also equipped with a 5,000-lb towing rating.

Another significant update, this time to the interior, is the XXL 17.7-inch touchscreen as standard, and an 11-inch digital driver’s display. The instrument panel has also been lowered, which offers better direct outward visibility. Six USB ports are now standard, and the new Traverse offers the convenience of available wireless phone charging. There’s also a new pass-through design for the underside of the console and the heated steering wheel.

Higher-level trims now have second-row captain’s chairs with seating for seven, and the new “SmartSlide” feature that provides easier access to the third row. When all seats are folded flat, the new Traverse has up to 98 cubic feet of space, with the third row featuring a 60/40 split for added functionality. Anyone with young ones to haul around will find the Traverse ideal. We love the added Harvest Bronze and Lakeshore Blue exterior colors!

Revolutionizing the Road: 2024 Chevy Colorado Unveils Ultifi Software Platform

The Chevy Colorado has always drawn an incredible amount of positive attention and curiosity here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse, and the amazing team on duty at the GM Authority blog just released an exciting news tidbit about the 2024 model! It will now be equipped with the Ultifi end-to-end vehicle software platform; at the same time, it will be introduced in the 2024 GMC Canyon in the big red vehicle lineup. Ultifi is powered by the Vehicle Intelligence Platform, which was developed by GM as a platform-supporting way to customize vehicle functions to the extreme.

Making the content of Sci-Fi movies a productive and fascinating reality, Ultifi could potentially offer features such as starting the 2024 Chevy Colorado when facial recognition technology can properly identify drivers. Drivers may also see amazing advances such as seamless communication with the owner’s smart home to interact with security settings and climate control, as well as a “teen driver” mode. In addition to featuring Ultifi on the technology suite, the 2024 Chevy Colorado will also introduce the range-topping ZR2 Bison, which boasts legendary off-road capability and over-landing chops.

The Bison was made possible through a partnership with American Expedition Vehicles, along with expert input from off-road racing guru Chad Hall. Rubicon Testing has also gone to the extreme during the intense vetting of the Bison, employing power quality verification, infrared thermography, ground system testing, and QA/QC verifications to ensure the electrical installation is up to code. A lifted suspension provides 12.2 inches of ground clearance that comes in very handy while navigating the trickiest of terrain.

A winch-capable AEV heavy-duty front bumper, 35-inch OD Mud-Terrain tires on 17-inch AEV beadlock-capable wheels, and Boron steel skid plates and rocker protectors are a few of the other bulletproof and massively trail-rated pieces of equipment rendering the Bison so incredibly prepped for the wild. One of the premier power sources for the 2023 Chevy Colorado is the potent and feisty turbocharged 2.7-liter I4 L2R gas engine, cranking out 237 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The more powerful engine is the turbocharged 2.7-liter inline 4 L3B gas engine, which ups the ante with 310 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque.

A thrilling world of adventure and power is at your disposal with the Chevy Colorado, which can conquer everything from the open road to remote and harrowing trails far off the beaten path. Stepping up from the WT to the Luxury Truck offers a higher level of comfort and convenience, boasting upgraded interior materials, advanced technology, and additional high-end comforts. The Z71 trim is perfect for the truck lover who plans on packing their compass and gear bag for extended intervals off pavement boasting rugged all-terrain tires and expertly-tuned suspension.

With gear ratios perfectly tailored to push the highest levels of performance, the Hydra-Matic 8-speed automatic transmission keeps you in complete control whether you are crawling over intense obstacles or enjoying thrilling bursts of acceleration on the open road. The Bison’s Multimatic Jounce Control Dampers provide the greatest of well-tuned capability in brutal environments. Equipped with power-locking front and rear differentials, these trucks ensure maximum maneuverability and traction and can conquer any threatening obstacles in your path. Durable skid plates on the underside provide class-leading protection for the fuel tank, transfer case, and engine.

KBB Hails 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV as “Best EV Under $35,000”

As the snow piles up heavily and holiday cheer is abundant here at the Mid Missouri Powerhouse, the 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV has now been around for two model years and has had quite the busy run stacking up awards and achievements. Now, its latest accolade is its new title as “Best EV Priced Under $35,000” by Kelley Blue Book.

Coming in for the ice and winter-themed escapades of the season as a slightly larger offering than the Chevy Bolt EV, the 2023 Bolt EUV made a great impression on the KBB staff with its roomy back seat and excellent build quality, along with affordable price and 247-mile driving range. Range has recently become as hot of an issue as the warm cider and cocoa of the holiday season, as avoiding the pain at the pump has become high on drivers’ wish lists for the New Year.

The number of choices for electric car shoppers continues to rise, and the competition is heating up. To decide the winner, KBB closely analyzed pricing, the five-year cost to own, and the all-important final sales numbers. To be considered, the vehicle must be considered brand-new or redesigned and have an incredibly strong value proposition to customers. The Bolt EUV has been busy scooping up awards since it was launched this year, and among them is the five-star National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Safety rating.

The Urban Green Car of the Year award officially certifies the Bolt EUV as one of the savviest eco-friendly vehicles for those living in the city, as it faced pretty serious competition in this segment from the Hyundai Venue and Kia Seltos. The Bolt EUV offers practical and tangible functionality and rides on the same BEV2 electric vehicle platform as the Bolt EV hatchback. Its single motor packs 200 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque, efficiently boosting you from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.5 seconds.

The NHTSA provided Front, Side Barrier, and Side Pole tests, which the Bolt EUV passed with flying colors, earning the highest score administered by the agency. The presence of Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning, and Automatic Braking also exceeds the NHTSA’s performance benchmarks and criteria.

The Car and Driver staff claimed that the “perky acceleration” and high-tech standard features were traits that led the Bolt EUV to be inspiring and one of the most sensible picks on the market today. During their 75-mph highway test, the Bolt EUV achieved 190 miles of range, with the 240-volt connection being the ideal choice for rapid at-home recharging. DC fast charging can give you 95 miles of range in a quick 30 minutes!

Get to Know the Silverado 1500 Trims Offering Wireless Apple CarPlay!

Our customers and Chevy drivers everywhere love just how much the interior comfort level has stepped up over the years. The truck shoppers of today are looking for connectivity features that are greatly enhanced, and frequently inquire about which trim levels will offer them the features they love most. The Motor Biscuit team cranked out a super cool blog last week that focused on the Chevy Silverado 1500, and which trims have the very savvy and productive additive of wireless Apple CarPlay.

This is the ingenious application that allows you to take your iPhone on the road with you and not miss anything that you’ve snagged up on your digital journey up to this point. With its seamless integration and the added benefit of Siri Eyes Free, you can easily enjoy everything your phone has to offer while driving safely. As more manufacturers have been making the sensible switch to this function, it has been growing in popularity and frequency of appearance. The 2023 Chevy Silverado comes in nine different trims, with the least expensive being the Work Truck model.

Up a level from the WT is the Custom trim, and then the LT and Trail Boss respectively. The RST, LTZ, and LT Trail Boss follow later, along with the High Country and ZR2. When properly equipped, the 2023 Silverado 1500 can tow upward of 13,000 pounds. The WT trim is the only one that does not include wireless Apple CarPlay as standard, but it’s still available as a viable option. Business Insider reported last month that Apple plans to roll out a game-changing update to Apple CarPlay in 2023, greatly expanding its capabilities.

On top of providing the convenience of wireless Apple CarPlay, the 2023 Chevy Silverado also offers the short-range wireless connection capability of Bluetooth. Most models also come with a Wi-Fi hotspot, and the larger and larger screens that consumers are loving to appear with the option for a 13.4-inch touchscreen available on other trims. All 2023 Silverado trims also will come equipped with the means to provide a necessary and helpful watchful eye via Teen Driver, along with other advanced driver-assistance systems that include forward collision warning and automated emergency braking.

The High Country trim level also has access to Super Cruise, GM’s semi-autonomous driving technology that takes control of the wheel on properly dialed roadways. If Super Cruise senses that you are properly alert, you will be moving forward without having to steer, which brings about an entirely new dimension of how the cars of the future will provide ways to enjoy the ride and free your mind to prepare for your kids’ next long-awaited sporting event or business meeting.

Every bump, curb, and other obstacles you’ll encounter is scanned and anticipated by the hands-free driving system, which takes control of the wheel intelligently. We can’t wait to hear what great use you’ll make of your new Silverado: come down to visit us here at the Powerhouse and we’ll be happy to answer your questions and assist you with a test drive of the nation’s most durable and delicious Thanksgiving dinner-ready heavy-duty truck!

2023 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban to Stake Their Open-Highway Claim with Added Bonus of Hands-Free Super Cruise

Many customers that are excitedly preparing for one of the busiest seasons of the year here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse are understandably interested in the larger haulers of the SUV segment! Bringing all the family along for the fun with the addition of extra friends is the name of the game as far as the 2023 Tahoe and 2023 Chevy Suburban are concerned, and the bloggers on staff at GM Authority delivering the digital scoop to the masses just made an awesome announcement about both last week.

It has now been officially announced that Super Cruise will be available to order on both the 2023 Tahoe and Suburban, which is now an exclusive bonus on the Premier and High-Country trims. This futuristic and convenient feature that allows for hands-free operation on many of the nation’s highways is now included in the Advanced Trailering Technology Package, which already includes the enrichments of Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist, Reverse Automatic Braking, HD Surround Vision, Head-Up Display, Rear Camera Mirror, Rear Pedestrian Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking.

This potent pair will still be offered with 3 powertrain options, including the 5.3-Liter V8 L84 gasoline engine, the 6.2-Liter V8 L87 gas engine, and the 3.0-Liter I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax. Each of these is mated to a ten-speed automatic transmission, with rear-wheel drive standard and 4-wheel drive available as an upgrade. The 2023 Chevy Tahoe easily won the approval of the Kbb.com auto staff, who praised it for its spacious cabin, Wireless Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto, engine choices, and the fact we agree wholeheartedly with that there’s “still a lot to be said for big SUVs built on truck foundations.”

The Tahoe also uses the ladder-frame construction from the Silverado, which is a huge help with the many demands of towing, and the space needed to haul a large family. Amazingly comfortable and now boasting even more cargo space, the Tahoe also provides the always on-point and superior ride quality that Magnetic Ride Control constantly works overtime to offer. Making sure that a long trip is thoroughly enjoyable instead of a grueling task, each of the available V8s is also ideal for the times when mountain roads are part of the plan, as the diesel engine provides the ideal low-end thrust.

The 2023 Suburban is widely known as one of the most capable family haulers on the market and is loved nationwide and right here at the Powerhouse for its potent engine selections, composed handling, and very simple-to-use infotainment setup. You’ll be boasting seating for 8 as those two extra-big holidays come hurtling towards us on the calendar, and its 1st-place value rings true with every refined driving dynamic you enjoy as your crew sprawls out during the trip. Last year’s model included more standard tech and safety features, the available digital gauge cluster, and the heightened availability of the 6.2-liter V8.

2023 Camaro Redline Package to See Lifted Constraints This Fall

We have some fantastic news from GM Authority about the Chevy Camaro, which saw its various design packages under severe constraints during the entire 2022 year.

This year, the Redline Edition was limited to about 20 percent of its usual output rate. Starting in October, the constraint will be lifted, and the Redline Edition will return to regular availability status. The Redline Edition package adds an awesome silver, black and red-themed touch that is available on the 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, LT1, 1SS, and 2SS trim levels. It is available with the Shadow Gray Metallic, Summit White and Black exterior colors, and includes this sweet additional equipment:

  • 20-inch Black-painted aluminum wheel with red accents
  • Black Camaro fender badge with red outline
  • Redline Edition graphics
  • Red seat belt color
  • Red knee pads

The performance-enhancing SS 1LE package also endured some issues while being under constraint for the 2022 Chevy Camaro and will arrive back in order books in full capacity for the 2023 model year. The engine options are all the best in the business as far as raw power and off-the-line aggro factor, including the turbocharged 2.0-liter I-4 LTG gas engine, the naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6 LGX gas engine, the naturally aspirated 6.2-Liter V8 LT1 gas engine, and the king of the hill: the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 LT4 gas engine.

This is the car model that Edmunds.com billed as “the best driving muscle car hands down of its segment,” with thrilling rewards at each turn during every drive. Its sharp handling, class-leading acceleration, and smooth ride courtesy of the adaptive suspension are all part of its brutish and domineering charm that is keeping the muscle car segment alive. Most Camaro models will easily out-drag a Mustang by a large margin, while the brakes can get you stopped from your scorching pace in a hurry.

The V8 Camaro models have ideally stickier tires perfect for track handling, and even the base level suspension provides a quality ride. The EPA fuel ratings for the 22 Camaro now are situated at 18 city/29 highway, and 22 mpg combined.

J.D. Power 2022 Initial Quality Study Crowns Chevy Tahoe as “Best Large SUV”

Larger SUVs allow for a commanding on road presence and have enough room to take the whole group in tow with you on any ride. The J.D. Power Initial Quality Studies are useful in ranking car brands and models using survey responses from new vehicle customers. This year, the Chevy Tahoe was once again at the top of the list, being hailed as the highest-ranked large SUV in its class.

The J.D. Power Initial Quality Study is now in its 36th year, using “problems per 100” (PP100) to indicate the number of issues that arise during early ownership. This most recent study was based on answers from over 84,000 new vehicle customers, taking place between February and May of this year. Finishing just above the GMC Yukon, the Tahoe was ranked at the top of the list for the large SUV segment.

Several other Chevrolet vehicles fared well in this study as well, with other top ranked segment leaders including the Chevy Silverado LD and HD, Chevy Malibu, Chevy Corvette, and the practical Chevy Equinox. This is proof that consumers these days love data driven by high performing results!

With a roomy interior for passengers and cargo, a smooth ride, easy-to-use touchscreen, and powerful diesel engine option, drivers will love Lane Keeping Assist and front and rear parking sensors now standard. There are also enhanced Google-based voice controls for the 10.2-inch infotainment system and the model has seen a redesign that showed big improvements in ride comfort, convenience features, and technology. A family hauler with contest-winning capability and usefulness, the Tahoe remains a proud staple of any growing family or business’s valued and crucial daily drive time!

2022 Chevy Suburban Surpasses The 200,000 Mile Mark in Star-Studded Style: GM Authority Reports

One of the vehicles we have always had loads of appreciation here for at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse is the 2022 Chevy Suburban, which has enjoyed the success of being one of the longest-lasting nameplates in existence. Enjoying the royal clout of its own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and then some, our esteemed blogger experts on duty at GM Authority recently provided the scoop on how this full-size SUV has many times been able to pass the 200,000-mile mark while remaining resilient and ultimately trustworthy!

One of the other great sources that we used was the iSeeCars website, which recently published their decidedly-chosen list of Top 15 Longest-Lasting Cars. 2022 Chevy Traverse Leads Mid-Winter Model Pack With Spacious and Comfortable Interior, Intuitive Tech, Punchy V6

With roomy seating and cargo space, an awesome intuitive touch screen, a gentle ride, and a powerful V6 engine, the 2022 Chevy Traverse is an excellent option to take home from the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse! It boasts a huge interior with room for up to 8 passengers plus all cargo, and it’s even comfortable to drive on less-than-stellar roads. Though not quite as large and burly as the Tahoe and Suburban, the Traverse is a spacious three-row crossover that underwent a massive facelift for the 2022 model.

This year’s Traverse sees the addition of front and rear-end styling, standard LED headlights and taillights, four new wheel designs, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and newly standard driver-assist safety features. During the Motor Trend drive test, the 2022 Traverse impressed with its remarkably smooth ride characteristics and body control. The standard 310-horsepower V6 and 9-speed automatic offer strong acceleration and smooth and responsive shifts, along with intuitive infotainment that rounds out a well-equipped cabin.

The assortment of included safety content for this year provides automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane keep assist, automatic high beams, and a following distance indicator. Adaptive cruise control is now available on 3LT, RS, and Premier trims, and High Country models. You’ll be enjoying seating for 7 or 8 across three rows, and legroom that measures 41 inches up front, 38.4 inches in the second row, and 33.5 inches for those in the back.

The Traverse offers more cargo space than ANY vehicle in its segment. The space behind the third-row bench is rated at 23.0 cubic feet and expands up to 57.8 and 98.2 cubes with the second and third-row seats folded down. Base models still are equipped with a 7.0-inch touchscreen display with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and higher trims will retain the 8.0-inch system.

Three-row crossovers such as the new Traverse remain competitive and sought-after. The Premier Trim is one of the sweet spots of the lineup, boasting chrome door handles and roof rails, a hands-free liftgate, power-adjustable steering wheel, ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats. The High Country is the peak, featuring trailering enhancements such as the hitch, upgraded system and panoramic sunroof, as well as the power-folding third-row seat. J.D. Power’s 2022 Dependability Study Ranks Chevy Among Top Brands

Chevy was ranked well in the 2022 J.D. Power U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study, with GM’s mass-market brand earning high marks this year. This annual study takes 184 specific problem areas across nine vehicle categories into consideration, allowing customers to see just what features are best as they make their decision to purchase.

Driving experience, exterior, features and displays, infotainment options, interior, powertrain, along with HVAC and climate and seating are elements surveyed while customers reflect on what makes an ideal driving experience come together for them. This year’s study analyzed a different number of responses on vehicles from 2019, and took into consideration the problems per 100 vehicles. This provides a representation of various problems experienced by owners gauging how the vehicle meets their needs.

Chevy earned a solid, respectable PP100 score of 171 in this study, placing it ahead of Mazda, Lincoln, BMW, Ford, GMC, and many more brands. This study counts even the smallest of infotainment problems or other issues, making for incredibly thorough results. The Chevy Suburban specifically stood out, as customers driving the model daily took a liking to its expectation-exceeding performance.

It's no surprise that the 2022 Suburban was such a hit in many ways, as it offers swift acceleration, a firm and polished ride, expansive seating and cargo space, and the industry’s latest and greatest in safety and tech features. Boasting seating for 7 to 9 occupants and more cargo space than any other SUV on the market, a great deal of useful tech and driver assistance features also come as standard. The 10.2-inch touchscreen is a current favorite, as so many drivers are understandably on the hunt for ease and convenience.

With trusted auto review entities such as U.S. News backing it, the Suburban rolls on, leading a star-studded Chevy lineup we love to show customers each year. Now is the best time to trade in your used car at high value and see what a great deal you’ll get on something newer and more reliable! Come see us at the Powerhouse this February to check out the Tahoe, Traverse, Silverado, Camaro, Equinox and more!

2024 Chevy Silverado EV’s 3 Most Electrifying Traits!

Everyone here on duty at the Mid Missouri Powerhouse staff has long known that electrification was going to change everything we knew about trucks! Chevrolet’s fully loaded RST First Edition trim was sold out just 12 minutes after official reservations were in place. It’s now evident that the Corvette is not the only Chevy product with a large enough draw to command a six-figure price. The new Silverado EV showcases sensational styling, advanced in-cab technology, and a futuristic stance that can satisfy any car buyer!

Here are a few of the features that the Edmunds.com car editorial staff thought was above average. The all-new, all electric Silverado is a great choice for small businesses and growing families that want an eco-conscious alternative as trucks begin to depend less on fuel and more on sustainable electric power.

The Kinetic Clout of a 400-Mile Range:

If you have ever barreled down a long stretch of the interstate while on fumes, you know that range anxiety is a huge issue that can affect you. This is where the 400-mile range of the Silverado EV is going to prove to be very appealing. Especially if you don’t have anything to tow or haul and that you are lowered available air suspension for peak aerodynamic efficiency. What are many buyers navigating the future’s versatile EV truck market going to notice first? That this range is more than the Ford can claim for its upcoming F-150 Lightning, and about the same as the R1T with the optional battery pack in tow. With 350-kW DC fast-charging, you can add a very useful extra 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes.

The Collective 20,000-lb Proper Pull Courtesy of the Tow Package:

When the Silverado EV first debuted, it was stated that the electric truck would be able to tow up to 10,000 pounds. That figure is on even keel what Ford offers up, and the Silverado EV Work Truck now will boast a maximum tow rating of 20,000 pounds courtesy of a max tow package you can snag up just after the truck’s official launch date. This is incredibly impressive, and will immediately sway many who are looking to get immediately situated into an electric truck that can get the toys to the lake without any fuss, and will do so repeatedly as the summer days are upon you!

The Multi-Flex Cargo Bed Expansion on Demand:

One new trick that is present on the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV is one that was fondly remembered on the Avalanche, in the form of the Multi-Flex Midgate. With it, you can see the Silverado EV’s cargo bed expand from less than 6 feet in length to a little more than 9 feet with the tailgate closed. You just fold the corresponding lower portion of the cab wall down after folding the EV’s 60/40-split back seats down in part or full, then fold the lower portion of the cab wall down as well.

After doing this, you can easily carry the weight of a passenger and a long item or choose to fold down both sides of the back seat and lower cab wall to remove the rear window glass directly from the cab. You can even drop the Multi-Flex Tailgate and flip up a lip on the trailing edge and enjoy 11 feet total in length from the bed for the 2 x 4’s, cousin’s couch, or any other goods you’ll be hauling around in this range-topping EV from all of us right here at the Bowtie Brand!
