Chevy Offers up Primo Peek at Equinox EV Via Electrek Blog

After everyone here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse excitedly watched the Chevy Equinox EV’s debut during CES this winter, GM has now shared a new video of this exciting and energy-efficient vehicle! You can clearly see a new blue two-toned exterior color with a pearl roof. This appears to be the most current “preview” of the upcoming electric SUV before it begins the production phase later next year. The
Electrek blog is a very well-respected source of information for all things EV, and they expressed their eagerness to eat up all of the news possible regarding our recent media flurry.

First, GM pulled the covers off a Chevy Silverado EV as well as officially announcing an all-electric Chevy Blazer. Then, Americans who have recently been dealing with multiple blows to their pocketbooks realized that they would be able to seize the opportunity to enjoy an all-electric version of the Chevy Equinox at an amazingly reasonable price. The official press release stated that Chevy will “expand its EV lineup in fall 2023 to include the Equinox EV, an affordable, functional compact SUV that will start at an estimated MSRP of around $30,000 in the US”.

Chevy’s updated EV section of its website now has included the video of the blue and white, two-toned Equinox EV with its head and tail lights cycling fully across the vehicle’s ends. Steering away rapidly from what was once conceived as a slice of automotive prestige from the future that may have never come into fruition, the Equinox EV LT would be slated to arrive with GM’s full Supercruise capacity, which could immediately make for a huge hit on their hands in terms of just what great features you can attain at a low price

Over the past year, it has become evident that inflation is going to remain the global norm, and consumers will be thrilled to realize that they will soon be able to own not only a piece of history, but a viable means of sustainability for our future days on Earth. The 2022 Chevy Equinox is our best-selling SUV as well as a major player in the 2-row / 5-passenger compact crossover segment. Brand-new for this year is the sporty-looking RS trim, and the ability to now quickly disable the engine start/stop system with a quick push of a button.

The RS trim features gloss-black grille and exterior accents, black interior with red stitching, 19-inch darkened wheels, and characteristically unique RS shift knob. The 2022 Equinox Premier Trim offers a leather interior with French stitching, blind-spot monitoring, hands-free power liftgate, an 8-inch touchscreen, and dual-zone climate control. Each brand-new Chevy Equinox here at the Powerhouse includes a suite of active safety features such as forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and IntelliBeam automatic headlights.

After being delayed earlier this year, production of the pickups will begin at the GM Fort Wayne Assembly facility in Indiana on March 15th. More capacity will also soon be offered up as the Oshawa Assembly plant in southern Ontario, Canada will work to fulfill the now very overwhelming demand for the Silverado.

This month the online configurator tool for the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 also went live, making way for many anxious future truck owners to create their own ideal Silverado 1500 specification, and look at a detailed pricing breakdown. The incoming version now introduces revised exterior styling, a completely overhauled cabin with new technologies, brand-new standard and available display screens, as well as the addition of the lethal and always trail-ready ZR2 model. Multiple trims will come standard with the heftiness under the hood of the turbocharged 2.7-liter Inline 4 L3B gas engine, which now produces 24 percent more torque, totaling 430 lb-ft.

You’ll also be climbing, hauling, and towing with the assistance of the 6.2-liter V8 L87 and 5.3-liter V8 L84 gas engines, on top of the 3.0-liter I6 LM2 turbo-diesel Duramax. The new 8-speed transmission and the loss of about 300 pounds have helped the Silverado achieve 17 mpg overall, which is a 1-mpg gain over the previous model.

Consumer Reports, stated last year’s model was high on the “hitting like button” factor, as 3 large bed and cab choices, a powerful and efficient engine range, and great standard tech and safety features were impressing customers fully along with the improved interior. The LT, RST, LTZ, LT Trail Boss, and High Country trims beefed up their interior game with a 13.4-inch touchscreen, standard safety features, and also now offer GM’s Super Cruise limited hands-free driver system.

The ZR2 Model is sure to excite those who are always happy to bomb the nearest fire road and try their luck at climbing boulders and blazing through the nearest canyon. There are so many good things here on the outfitting end that it’s hard to know where to start: it comes with positive-sensitive shocks that adapt to the constantly changing terrain and spool valves with three different compassion profiles that aid in high-speed overlanding, and meticulously crawling over rocks with precision force. With the potential to become America’s best rescue vehicle as well as off-road conqueror, you’ll be gleefully kicking up dust with red tow hooks, robust skid plates, unique 18-inch wheels, and a new front fascia brandishing a tough-and-burly steel front bumper that aids with the crucial approach angle.

One of the other great sources that we used was the iSeeCars website, which recently published their decidedly-chosen list of Top 15 Longest-Lasting Cars. These are based strictly upon the percentage of registered vehicles of a particular nameplate that have driven over 200,000 miles, which determined that 6.6 percent of all Chevy Suburban models registered in the U.S. today deem it as the third-longest-lasting vehicle on the market. The Suburban is currently enjoying its second model year of the latest twelfth-generation nameplate, also offering up 8,300 lbs of towing capacity when equipped with the 6.2-Liter V8 L87 gas engine and 4-wheel drive.

The brand-new RST Model hits the streets this year on Vossen HF6-4 Wheels, with a tinted Gloss Black finish and split-spoke design that adds the perfectly aggressive vibe to the Satin Steel Metallic paint perfectly. KBB Celebrates 2022 Chevy Equinox as one of the Most Comfortable Vehicles under $30,000

The Mid Missouri Powerhouse is your fully-stocked hub of pre-spring activity and premium destination when it comes to locating the perfect vehicle for you for 2022! Amidst the trucks, sedans, and smaller-sized vehicles available, there is one very brightly shining star in the form of the Chevy Equinox, which has just been determined to be one of the most comfortable vehicles under $30,000 by Kelley Blue Book. This research was broken down based on what it feels are the quietest, most smooth, and spacious riding vehicles on lots such as ours here today.

The 2022 Chevy Equinox ranked sixth on this list, just ahead of the competition in the form of the 2022 Honda Accord, and 2022 Subaru Outback. The KBB editors also were very happy with the seat design in this year’s Equinox model, along with the cabin’s abundance of space and great range of available comforts. The RS trim provides the addition of very cool red contrast stitching and ample room for five adults with comfortable headroom and legroom for rear passengers. You can also see a luxurious upgrade in the form of heated seats, a power driver’s seat, and an incredibly sweet-sounding premium audio system.

Most vehicles that made their mark on this list were crossovers, which routinely offer up a softer suspension quality with longer travel than passenger cars, which can assist in swallowing up the pothole’s wrath among other ruts in the road. Our Chevy-loving cohorts over at GM Authority also reported over the last month that the 2022 Equinox model is even more affordable than the 2021 version, as pricing right here at the Powerhouse for the base LS trim level is significantly cheaper than last year.

This is the best opportunity and time of year for you to drive off the lot with one of the most popular and compelling crossovers there is! A feature-laden infotainment offering layout, perfectly athletic handling, and longstanding bow-tie brand essence are all draws and benefits of this year’s new Equinox. The current year’s makeover adds more distinctive headlights, a brand-new grill design, and completely updated front and rear bumpers. The top-tier Premier also features French stitching and gloss-black trim for the console, and the 1.5-liter engine as the sole powertrain option.

We would absolutely have to recommend the mid-level LT as the sweet spot in the trim level, that comes with an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, high-intensity discharge headlights, SiriusXM satellite radio, and much more. Don’t forget the savvy addition of the Confidence and Convenience package, which now includes dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a power liftgate, rear cross-traffic alert, and remote start. The 7.0-inch touchscreen displays Chevy’s Mylink infotainment interface directly on top of the dash, and on top of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto you’ll be enjoying Bluetooth phone and audio streaming, USB connectivity, and standard 4G LTE onboard Wi-Fi.
