2023 Camaro Redline Package to See Lifted Constraints This Fall

We have some fantastic news from GM Authority about the Chevy Camaro, which saw its various design packages under severe constraints during the entire 2022 year. 

This year, the Redline Edition was limited to about 20 percent of its usual output rate. Starting in October, the constraint will be lifted, and the Redline Edition will return to regular availability status. The Redline Edition package adds an awesome silver, black and red-themed touch that is available on the 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, LT1, 1SS, and 2SS trim levels. It is available with the Shadow Gray Metallic, Summit White and Black exterior colors, and includes this sweet additional equipment:

• 20-inch Black-painted aluminum wheel with red accents
• Black Camaro fender badge with red outline
• Redline Edition graphics
• Red seat belt color
• Red knee pads 

The performance-enhancing SS 1LE package also endured some issues while being under constraint for the 2022 Chevy Camaro and will arrive back in order books in full capacity for the 2023 model year. The engine options are all the best in the business as far as raw power and off-the-line aggro factor, including the turbocharged 2.0-liter I-4 LTG gas engine, the naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6 LGX gas engine, the naturally aspirated 6.2-Liter V8 LT1 gas engine, and the king of the hill: the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 LT4 gas engine. 

This is the car model that Edmunds.com billed as “the best driving muscle car hands down of its segment,” with thrilling rewards at each turn during every drive. Its sharp handling, class-leading acceleration, and smooth ride courtesy of the adaptive suspension are all part of its brutish and domineering charm that is keeping the muscle car segment alive. Most Camaro models will easily out-drag a Mustang by a large margin, while the brakes can get you stopped from your scorching pace in a hurry. 

The V8 Camaro models have ideally stickier tires perfect for track handling, and even the base level suspension provides a quality ride. The EPA fuel ratings for the 22 Camaro now are situated at 18 city/29 highway, and 22 mpg combined. 

2020 Camaro Billed by Car Connection as “Best Performance Car to buy 2020”

The staff on duty at The Car Connection have for many years been doling out the scoop on the coolest cars in the business, and this past week their editor Aaron Cole honed in on the track-ready and robust 2020 Camaro. He began his article by claiming that “These are halcyon days for horsepower”, and that for the price, there is no better option than the current model Camaro for anyone on the hunt for massive speed potential on a budget. The SS model is heavily focused on the 6.2-liter V8, which offers up 455 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque.

Aaron also ranks the 6-speed manual transmission on board as the “most engaging out there”, and this Camaro goes from zero to 60 mph in around 4.3 seconds. When stacked up to the LT1 model, the SS offers a few upgrades that are important to consider: a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen, Brembo Brakes, performance tires, and a digital instrument information display are all standard. The SS is also where you get to experience the addition of available magnetic dampers that bring out the rawest aspects of the car's performance on the track.

After the closely-honed advantage of a 1LE suspension tune, the SS is ready to take on the challenges of any winding road in ways that did not even exist just a few short years ago within the realm of driving technology. The rival that is always waiting across town and pounding its hoofs for a showdown is the Ford Mustang: it has always been the one that people stack up against the Camaro right away. The LT1 Model is the entry point engineered to make V8 power easily accessible to the masses, but the SS is where you really experience the satisfying G forces of linear power delivery, and intense acceleration made even better by means of dual-mode exhaust. The Recaro seats that used to be exclusive to the 1LE performance package are now available on the LT model, and the rear spoiler that was once just available on the RS package can now be attained on the LS and LT trims.

New Camaro Model Offered Up For Breakneck-Speed 2020 Nascar Cup Series

Last week the official announcement hit the newswires and us right here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse that next year's Chevy teams in the 2020 Nascar Cup Series will be getting their hands on the Camaro ZL1 1LE. It will now be heralded as the most track-capable and fastest Camaro of all time, and will be on tap to replace the SS for the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series season, and has achieved 7 wins so far this year. 4 of them belong to track champ Chase Elliott, and Kyle Larson, Alex Bowman, Kurt Busch, and Justin Haley all have nabbed down one each.

For this exciting new ZL1  model, engineers spent countless hours at work putting to use computational fluid dynamics to optimize aerodynamic performance, simulations, and full-scale wind testing to zoom in properly  and bring to life a legend. The brand-new ZL1 1LE is the  highest performer within the Camaro lineup, and the excitement of the legacy has won the Chevy namesake a record of 39 NASCAR manufacturer championships, claiming 13 consecutive titles alone from 2003-2015. Chevy drivers have proudly taken home a record 31 championships, and among them was Jimmie Johnson's record-tying seventh during 2016. The   2020 NASCAR Cup Series will be the 72^nd season for the nail-biting excitement of stock car racing, as well as the 49^th season for the modern-era Cup Series.

The Advanced Auto Parts Clash will kick off the season at Daytona International Speedway next year, and the 62^nd annual run of the sun-drenched Daytona 500. Just two weeks ago we received word that Go Fas Racing has now created a partnership with Stewart-Haas Racing to obtain chassis, data, and technical support from them beginning during 2020. Other noteworthy events this fall include JTG Daugherty Racing announcing during mid-October of this year that they had successfully signed Ricky Stenhouse JR to a multi-year contract.  Just three  weeks later, Landon Cassil claimed that he plans to keep his current position in the StarCom Racing No. 00 Chevy for 2020.

On October 1 of 2019, NASCAR officially released the slightly modified rules listings for 2020. One of the changes is regarding road crew members: there will now only be 10 instead of 12 in any pit, and teams brandishing 3 or more cars are now limited to just three roster spots. After experiencing 21 awesome years of being NASCAR'S Premiere Fourth of July weekend even, the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway will now see its move to August, becoming the final race of the standard season.
