The 2025 Chevrolet Trax – Missouri’s Perfect Mix of Style, Value, and Everyday Versatility

2025 Chevy Trax

Here at the Mid Missouri Powerhouse, we’ve seen a lot of vehicles come and go, but every so often, one rolls in that makes us stop and say, “Now that’s going to make a lot of people happy.” The 2025 Chevrolet Trax is one of those vehicles. It’s bigger, bolder, and better equipped than ever before, yet still manages to stay easy on the budget, making it an absolute sweet spot for Missouri drivers.

Sized Just Right for City Streets and Country Roads

The first thing you’ll notice about the 2025 Trax is that it’s grown up, in all the right ways. Compared to the previous model, it’s longer, wider, and has a more planted stance. That means more interior space for passengers and cargo, while still keeping the nimble size that makes it perfect for weaving through downtown traffic or sliding into a tight parking spot in the city.

Whether you’re pulling into a busy plaza in the city or heading out to a family BBQ in the country, the Trax feels right at home. It’s a crossover that blends city-smart agility with weekend-adventure practicality.

Design That Turns Heads Without Trying Too Hard

Chevy designers clearly had some fun with this one. The new Trax borrows styling cues from larger Chevy SUVs like the Equinox and Blazer, giving it a confident, upscale look that stands out in the crowd. From its sculpted sides to its bold front grille and sleek lighting, this is a crossover that looks far more expensive than it is.

You can even pick from a range of trims, each with its own personality. Whether you go for something sporty with blacked-out accents or a more refined, polished look, the Trax lets you choose a style that fits your life.

Performance That Makes Every Drive Enjoyable

Under the hood, the 2025 Trax packs a lively turbocharged engine that’s perfect for daily driving. It delivers just the right balance of pep for quick merges onto I-70 and smooth cruising for those Sunday drives through the Ozarks. Paired with an automatic transmission, it’s easy to drive, fuel-efficient, and built to keep your monthly gas bill in check.

Tech and Comfort Where It Counts

Inside, the Trax is more than just practical; it’s downright comfortable. You’ll find seating for five with plenty of legroom, plus a cargo area that’s ready for everything from grocery runs to road trip luggage. Up front, there’s a modern touchscreen system with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, so you can connect your phone without fussing with cords.

Chevy also made sure safety wasn’t an afterthought. Every Trax comes standard with driver-assist features like Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Lane Keep Assist. It even has Chevy’s Teen Driver technology, which is perfect for families with younger drivers.

Why It’s a Great Fit for Missouri Drivers

A satisfying driving life is all about balance; you want a vehicle that can handle city commutes, weekend adventures, and everything in between. The 2025 Chevrolet Trax delivers exactly that. It’s small enough to be stress-free in tight spaces, yet big enough to comfortably handle road trips with friends or family.

Plus, with Chevy’s reputation for reliability, you can feel confident that your Trax will keep up with your busy schedule for years to come.

2025 Chevy Trax Nails the Sweet Spot: Smart, Sporty, and Surprisingly Inexpensive

2025 Chevy Trax

Lately here at the
Mid-Missouri Powerhouse, we’ve seen a shift in the auto industry. Many brands are phasing out their most affordable models to focus on higher-profit SUVs. Chevy was no exception—in just a few years, the Cruze, Spark, and Sonic quietly left the lineup. That left a big gap in the market for folks looking for an affordable, no-nonsense new car.

Enter the 2025 Chevrolet Trax—and let us tell you, it’s been a hit for good reason.

A Smart Choice for Budget-Conscious Buyers

The 2025 Chevrolet Trax delivers impressive value while packing in plenty of must-have features. Even the base LS trim is well-equipped with smart tech and safety essentials, including an 8-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot.

Looking for more comfort and convenience? You can opt for available upgrades like blind-spot monitoring, heated seats, and alloy wheels. Higher trims offer even more premium features, including an 11-inch touchscreen, leatherette seating, a sunroof, adaptive cruise control, and bold 19-inch wheels. Our test model, the sporty 2RS, came packed with style and advanced tech—proving you don't have to sacrifice sophistication for practicality.

Built Like a Hatchback, Styled Like a Crossover

While Chevy calls it a subcompact SUV, the Trax feels more like a sporty hatchback with extra versatility. Think of it as a roomier, better-equipped alternative to a Honda Civic—but at a lower price.

Chevy nailed the design, too. The new Trax sits longer and wider than its sibling, the Trailblazer, but with a lower roofline for a sleeker profile. Bright colors, sharp lines, and slim LED headlights give it a bold, confident look—a major step up from earlier versions.

No-Nonsense Interior with Modern Tech

Inside, the Trax keeps things simple yet up-to-date. The dashboard has a clean, driver-focused layout, with either analog or digital gauges depending on the trim. Buttons and knobs are easy to reach, and the infotainment system is straightforward and user-friendly. We especially appreciate that Chevy kept physical controls for things like the headlights—no fumbling through touchscreen menus here.

The cabin feels thoughtfully designed, with comfort and functionality taking center stage. It’s a space that’s easy to enjoy day to day, with everything where you need it. For those who want a little extra flair, upper trims add perks like heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and eye-catching trim accents.

Surprisingly Spacious Back Seat

One of the biggest surprises? The rear-seat room. Thanks to its extended wheelbase, the Trax offers plenty of legroom for adult passengers in the back. While the seats are nothing fancy, and the armrests could be softer, there’s ample room for four adults—or five in a pinch.

Need something family-friendly but compact? The Trax is a great fit for young families or commuters needing extra space without a full-size SUV.

Room for Gear, Groceries, and Weekend Getaways

You’ll also be impressed by the cargo capacity. With 25.6 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 54.1 cubic feet with them folded down, the Trax is a practical hauler. Its low roofline may limit the height of items you can fit, but the flat load floor means you can spread things out easily.

Peppy Performance in a Small Package

Under the hood, every Chevy Trax packs a 1.2-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder engine making 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with a 6-speed automatic, which feels more natural to many drivers than the CVTs found in other budget cars.

The result? Smooth, confident acceleration—especially around town. And thanks to its lower ride height and lightweight, the 2025 Trax drives more like a nimble sedan than a traditional SUV. It’s fun to toss around in corners, and it soaks up city bumps well.

Efficient Where It Counts

Fuel economy is another strong point. The 2025 Chevy Trax is EPA-rated at 28 mpg city / 32 mpg highway / 30 mpg combined on regular gas. That’s solid for a crossover, and in our real-world driving around St. Louis, we managed 32 mpg—impressive for a vehicle this roomy and capable.

How It Stacks Up

The Trax isn’t without competition. The Kia Soul, Hyundai Venue, and Nissan Kicks all bring something to the table. The Kicks now offers all-wheel drive, and the Venue is ultra-compact for city dwellers.

But the Trax beats them all on value, style, and interior space—and it simply feels more refined and composed on the road.

Bottom Line: More Than You’d Expect for the Price

The 2025 Chevy Trax proves you don’t need to spend a fortune to get a solid, good-looking, and well-equipped vehicle. Whether you're a first-time buyer, downsizing, or just want a smart city car with real versatility, the Trax delivers.

At the Mid-MO Powerhouse, we love when a vehicle surprises you—in all the right ways. The 2025 Trax is roomy, tech-savvy, and city-smart, making it an easy pick for drivers who want more from their daily ride.

Roomy, Modern, and Fun: The 2025 Chevrolet Trax Proves Small SUVs Can Shine

2025 Chevy Trax

In an era of rising inflation and increasing car prices, the Chevrolet Trax stands out as a reminder of what affordability in car buying should look like. The LS base model is incredibly affordable as the Trax continues Chevrolet's tradition of offering budget-friendly entry-level vehicles here at the Mid Missouri Powerhouse

This subcompact crossover provides competitive features, a smooth driving experience, and a price that positions it among the most affordable vehicles available in the U.S. Beyond its affordability, the Trax offers a host of compelling reasons to make it your next vehicle.

The Chevrolet Trax offers an exceptional driving experience from the moment you get behind the wheel. Its spacious cabin, commanding seating position, and expansive displays make it feel like driving a larger Chevrolet crossover. Once you hit the road, the Trax transforms into a lively, agile vehicle with a unique hatchback-like spirit—an exciting throwback to a style that embodies Chevrolet’s commitment to dynamic driving experiences.

The Trax delivers agile handling and an enthusiastic driving experience powered by its turbocharged three-cylinder engine. With a 0 to 60 mph time of 8.8 seconds, it offers a balanced performance well-suited to its segment.

The six-speed automatic transmission is designed for efficiency and provides the option for manual shifting via a plus/minus button on the gear selector. This setup offers quick response times and added control when needed, allowing drivers to easily tap into more energetic acceleration for tasks like overtaking or merging.

The Trax's turbocharged three-cylinder engine brings a distinctive character to the driving experience, with a spirited tone that complements its lively performance. On the highway, the engine settles into a smooth rhythm, showcasing its capability to maintain steady speeds with ease. With peak torque available at just 2500 rpm, it delivers confident performance while blending its energetic nature with a composed and comfortable ride, making it a standout choice in its class.

Braking and Suspension Performance

The Chevrolet Trax's braking system may require a bit more effort at lower speeds, which is something to be aware of. The torsion-beam rear suspension provides a firm ride, especially when the vehicle is unladen. However, when loaded near its maximum capacity, such as with four passengers and gear, the ride quality improves significantly. With a curb weight of 3069 pounds, the Trax benefits from its relatively light design, enhancing its agility and maneuverability.

Everyday Usability and Interior Features

The Trax excels in interior design, offering a cabin that feels more premium than its price suggests. Base models feature a segment-competitive 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, while higher trims, such as the Activ, come equipped with an 11.0-inch display. This larger screen supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, delivering a modern, responsive interface that outshines many competitors.

Passenger space is another highlight. The Trax provides ample head, shoulder, and legroom, edging out many rivals in overall cabin volume. Cargo space is also impressive, offering 25.6 cubic feet behind the rear seats and expanding to 54 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded, rivaling some small vans.

Holiday Hustle Made Easy

With ample cargo space and comfort for passengers, the Trax simplifies your busy schedule.

The 2025 Chevrolet Trax delivers a strong package with its modern technology, roomy interior, and impressive cargo capacity. While it has some minor drawbacks in braking and ride comfort, its overall value and features make it a compelling choice in the subcompact crossover segment.

The Chevrolet Trax stands out as an exceptional offering within GM’s lineup, blending playful handling, a spacious cabin, and sharp design—all in a crossover priced under $30,000 across all trim levels. With its competitive package, the Trax delivers remarkable value, making it a strong contender in the subcompact SUV market.

Upgrading through the Trax lineup is surprisingly affordable. The top-tier Activ trim starts at just $25,395, offering features such as eight-way power-adjustable seats. Optional upgrades include a power sunroof ($895) and a comprehensive driver-assistance suite featuring adaptive cruise control, rear parking assist, lane-departure warning, and rear cross-traffic alert ($795). These features add significant value without dramatically increasing the price.

The Chevrolet Trax is the perfect companion for the busy holiday season, seamlessly blending practicality, style, and comfort to make navigating gatherings and events effortless. Compared to rivals like the Mazda CX-30, Volkswagen Taos, and Nissan Kicks, the Trax shines with its spacious cabin and eye-catching design, delivering exceptional value at a competitive price.

Its versatility makes it ideal for everything from daily commutes to holiday shopping trips and family outings. In snowy regions, the Trax’s front-wheel-drive platform pairs beautifully with quality winter tires, offering dependable traction to keep you confidently on the move, no matter the weather. With its thoughtful features and adaptable performance, the Trax is ready to make your holiday season even more enjoyable.

For first-time buyers, the Trax includes thoughtful features like a following-distance graphic displayed on the driver information screen. This tool helps new and less-experienced drivers maintain a safe distance from other vehicles, adding peace of mind on the road.

With its accessible pricing, modern features, and well-rounded design, the 2025 Chevrolet Trax delivers an unbeatable combination of value and capability.

2024 Chevy Trax Deemed “Best Entry-Level Vehicle in Many Years”, Offering Desired Features at Reasonable Bargain

Here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse, when scores of customers come to pick out their next vehicle, we understand budget is a driving factor! Recent years have seen an uptick in higher-level features, and Chevy is no exception.

GM president Mark Reuss had some incredibly high praise for the new Trax model over the past week, publicly claiming that it “is the finest entry-level” Chevy to be released in many years. While many inquisitive eyes were on him at the recent GM Investor Day event, the upcoming product roadmap was fully revealed. So many successful plans in life-sized ventures have worked out regarding giving customers intense benefits at a low price point, and the Trax offers all of this with incredible individuality to boot.

After a personal test drive, he reflected that its youthful energy was infectious and that it was an excellent choice to be manufactured in high volume immediately. The 2024 Chevy Trax offers design language like the Chevy blazer crossover, but with harder angles, a large central grill, and thin upper lighting. The incoming model is lower, longer, and much wider than the previous model with wheel sizes at 17-, 18-, and 19-inch variants.

Inside, you get more than entry-level offerings from just about any other brand, as elevated standard safety and tech features are waiting along with a standard 8-inch infotainment screen. You can opt for the 11-inch screen in higher trims while enjoying other features such as the Chevy Safety Assist tech suit and Active Noise Cancelation. The power source is the 1.2-liter Inline-3-cylinder gas engine, now rated at 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque sending power to the front wheels.

In these images, you can see a firsthand look at this model painted in the Mosaic Black Metallic paint, and ideally decked out for the New Year in the 2RS outfit. Up front, you can see the effect of the dual-layer headlight arrangement found on other recently introduced Chevy products, and an RS-specific front grille along with a Black Bow Tie front-and-center. When this prototype was spotted stealthily roaming around in the wild and caught by a skilled photographer, the exhaust tips were tucked under the rear, with its telltale red RS badge on the passenger side of the liftgate.

The 2024 model now marks an important era here at the Powerhouse for this popular crossover’s second generation, boasting the same wide appeal across many demographics and a useful 12-percent increase in cargo capacity.
