2024 Chevy Equinox EV to Boast 300 Miles of Range, Innovative and Polished Ultium Platform

After introducing the Silverado EV and Blazer EV this year, Chevy’s exciting checklist of electric vehicle rollouts continues with a very important third introduction with the official announcement of the 2024 Equinox EV. We have excitedly told customers for months here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse that the arrival of this SUV was going to provide an affordable vehicle for modern families that solidifies a very confident and meaningful transition to electric power without making compromises.

As the turning point now becomes reality where the next generation of choice needs to be available at every pricing point, the 2024 Equinox EV possesses a strong sense of purpose and promise. This release officially begins the value proposition for Chevy to boast in the very relevant and popular compact SUV segment and adds greatly to an electric portfolio that claims an assortment of full-size trucks, midsize SUVs, and compact SUVs. The all-electric range is one of the most important factors that buyers are considering, as this is the final word on how far you can travel before the vital charging, and the 2024 Equinox’s 300 miles is an excellent value.

During the design process, engineers were keenly focused on the modern style, abundance of space, and vital safety qualities that made the standard gas-powered Equinox second to only the reigning Silverado in Chevy sales annually. As customers have continued to prioritize larger screens during the constant evolution of more functional vehicles, the 2024 Equinox EV arrives with an available 17.7-inch diagonal system that acts as the virtual command center for vital functions. As the Equinox progresses and changes along with the industry’s shift to electric power, its bold and futuristic appearance has stayed comfortingly recognizable.

Chevy has been solidly committed to making the EV transition very simple, including the convenience of available navigation and route planning through the MyChevy app, which provides the location for stations such as the 110,000 useful Ultium 360 which make the overall charging experience much easier. Here are some of the amazing and useful standard features that the Equinox EV will offer:

  • Automatic Emergency Braking

  • Following Distance Indicator

  • Forward Collision Alert

  • Front Pedestrian Braking

  • Rear Park Assist

  • Safety Alert Seat

  • Blind Zone Steering Assist

As it is with the new Blazer EV and Silverado EV, The Equinox EV provides customers the new very convenient reality of zero-emissions driving, zero gas stop, and chances to reduce frequent and costly maintenance. The 3RS trim provides some of the upper-level conveniences that have long made so many repeat customers thrilled at the Powerhouse: you’ll be enjoying the added luxurious touch of an 8-way power-adjustable driver seat, front heated/ventilated seats and rear outboard heated seats, heated flat-bottom steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, heated wiper park, an 11-inch diagonal driver information center, available Bose audio system, available sunroof, 21-inch aluminum wheels, a front LED light bar, and heated outside mirrors.

2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 and Larger HD Will Both Brandish New Multiflex Tailgate

Many truck lovers nationwide and right here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse have a broad range of uses and chores lined up for their favorite Silverado model. From hauling and towing during a hard day's work to enjoying a slice of wilderness in their downtime, there is no shortage of daily duties and recreation that can be accomplished with this awesome truck. Currently, the Chevy Silverado offers several tailgate options, all coming in the form of a regular or regular drop-down unit.

After the introduction of the MultiPro tailgate on the all-new 2019 GMC Sierra, it has now been revealed that Chevy will offer its very own version of the feature on the coming Silverado model. Many whispers have been heard throughout the automotive world about the coming Multi-Flex, and how it could bear a few differences from the GMC MultiPro with new features or positions. Wherever you pull up and decide to take a breather or set up shop, the MultiPro tailgate offers flexibility and added functionality with six different configurations, including second-tier loading, load-stop, a standing workstation, a drop-down centerpiece for easier access to the box, and a box step.

It also has the ability to offer up a little something that will no doubt add to the outdoor fun and party vibe: a set of Kicker speakers with Bluetooth function. They run independently from the truck's primary sound system with Bluetooth audio or USB inputs and integrate as an official accessory with the inner gate panel. System output is rated at 100 watts through a pair of 4-inch coaxial drivers and a small amplifier. You don't even have to have the truck running at the campsite or tailgate party as the system sources its electricity from a low current draw, which allows for hours of play.

Another notable feature of the Multi-Flex is a secondary cutout right in the middle that can be folded out, including a step to make the climb into the bed easier. It can also be folded up to keep longer loads from slipping straight off the back of the tailgate and is equipped with an auxiliary input and USB port. This is the tailgate that the expert staff on hand at Car and Driver ranked as the best there is on the current market, and it is an exciting additive and boost in productivity to see arriving on the incoming model.

One event that we would dare dream about is if the carbon fiber bed could make the jump from GMC to Chevy as well, fully rounding out our favorite truck with the best of all worlds in features and performance! We think it would make the most sense to see the presence of the Multi-Flex Tailgate on the RST, LTZ and High Country, as the Trail Boss versions have their focus on off-road ability.

Chevy Silverado HD Tops J.D. Power “Best Large Heavy Duty Pickup” Study

As we are now ready for the coming of Spring and all of its potential outdoor activities, our prized customers right here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse most definitely have trucks on the mind! There are unique special editions, in-depth discussions about torque and horsepower, and models designed specifically for off-roading. We are in constant contact with many of you who have known the ins and outs of trucks for decades and having the most dependable truck out there on the road is probably one of the best attributes to take pride in there is.

This year, Chevy Silverado HD owners can now have absolute boasting rights to the fact that their truck was named “Best Large Heavy-Duty Pickup” in the 2020 J.D. Power Dependability Study. The premise of the survey honed in on a special metric regarding “problems per 100 vehicles”, or PP100. The 2017 Chevy Silverado HD was the subject, which showed up on the J.D. Power lot equipped with the new turbodiesel 6.6-Liter LSP V8. The study considered direct responses from 36,555 owners of 2017 model-year vehicles and how effectively they still performed after three years. The responses were gathered during the fall of 2019, and the winning vehicle lays the claim to the best in dependability and being free of maintenance hassles.

The Silverado HD even managed to beat its close relative, the 2017 GMC Sierra HD, in the study for the coveted honors of Best Large Heavy-Duty Pickup. GM as a whole nailed down five awards total in the study, with the Chevy Tahoe gaining props in the Best Large SUV category, the Buick Encore in the Small SUV category, the Buick Regal in the Midsize Car category, and the wildly popular Chevy Equinox in the Compact SUV category. J.D. Powers also claimed that this current year's dependability ratings, in general, were much higher than those in 2019, governed largely by very noticeable gains in reliability within the SUV and crossover genres.

The staff of Car and Driver also gave their very high level of approval for the striking appearance of Silverado HD, and during test drives of their own relished how it was wider, longer, taller, and bigger in just about every measurable way. They also highly favored the technology features and capabilities onboard the pickup, and the very convenient way in which the Tow/Haul is quickly activated by use of the new turn-dial. The frame of the Silverado is now more durable and stiff, and whether or not you are hauling a full load you will notice a higher quality of foundation than the outgoing model.

When you dig in and put the Silverado to the test of hard work, the retuned A-arms and torsion bar springs are on deck waiting to properly absorb every single rough inch of terrain you may encounter. Farmers and ranchers particularly are going to be served up massive ruts during spring, along with flooding and perhaps strewn boulders. When you are checking out which model you think is right for you, ask us about the higher trim levels of the Silverado: you can get extra goodies such as fully electric extendable and foldable tow mirrors, freshly redesigned rear spring packs, and a brand-new integrated brake controller!

Dropping Weight + Injecting Positive Environmental Change: The 2018 Equinox

Here on the lot at Mid-Missouri Powerhouse, we have been keeping a close watch on the crossover SUV sector of the market. As the new models for next year begin popping up and making their way to lots nationwide, there are many advancements to take note of, and many reasons to consider trading up. The new Equinox began its quest to appeal to customers with a very wise choice: a dropping of ten percent of its mass. Dropping nearly 400 pounds, the all-new body was designed to achieve top safety ratings, and appeal to those on the very busy side.

The way in which it was constructed helps make the most of the vehicle's available turbo options, and the 1.5L turbo engine offers a balance of high performance, as well as efficiency. There is also a higher-power option available: the 2.0L turbo engine offers up 252 horsepower, and is the quickest of the Equinox's 3 available engine options. One of the first things folks putting the car to the drive test are noticing is that the driving experience is very agile, and you get a sense of precision and a very light drive. If you have been carting around something like a Ram or F-150 for most of your driving days, you are going to really love the sensation of high maneuverability this choice Chevy creation offers.

While accelerating or turning corners, everything about the new Equinox seems lighter, and the placement of ultra-high strength steel in the body structure allows for the sensation of a “cage” of protection around you. With the stiffer body structure, engineers were able to focus more on additives that make the ride more comfortable, and end up with a finished product that is responsive and nimble. Taking your brand-new Equinox on a leisure drive will give you the opportunity to notice the grade A components of noise and vibration reduction, another good result of the weight loss for this release.

Many consumers out there have the prime concern of how a vehicle really does in the fuel economy department. Performance at the pump is a very important objective, as many cars vie for coveted spots in this important rating. 32 MPG and 29 MPG on the highway is where the Equinox finishes, and the 1.6L diesel model offers a GM-estimated 40 mpg at highway speeds. The cargo area is very spacious, and features an oversized hidden underfloor storage space, as well as a flat cargo door that makes the loading and unloading process a snap.

At just around $25,000, you're getting an unbelievable ride loaded with technologies designed to keep your passengers safe, comfortable, and digitally connected. Teen Driver is the best way to help the younger generation that may have access to the vehicle, and gives parents the tools to discuss and correct some of the mistakes they may make during drives. Ask us about how it can even mute audio until the seat belts are buckled! We hope to see you here at Mid-Missouri before fall creeps closer, and we'll show you the many features the Equinox has, rendering it a great choice for a young professional or growing family!

Refined Rock-Crawling, Off-Road Domination, and Beyond: All-new Colorado ZR2

Completely pushing the reset button on the construction of off-road trucks is a task that no manufacturer should take lightly. Just in the zone of shock absorption alone, technology has really been stepped up in the past few years. Over a decade ago, raw power and a spruced-up paint job could yield you quite the animal to conquer the woods or Ozarks with. Prime contenders in the market then like Jeep had a lot of great ideas: some of them stuck around as anchors in the off-road offerings of new, and some of them did not. Here in the Show-me state, we have plenty of unconquered and pristine off road territory, and many customers come in and ask us about our best recommendations to explore the endless amount of terrain.

The new Colorado ZR2 is the off-road vehicle with more technology to conquer this type of domain than any other mid-size pickup on the market. Some of the newer features are a much wider track, and heavily lifted suspension. Additional rockers have been added for better performance among off-road elements, as well as the front and rear bumpers seeing some modification, for more suitable off-road clearance. With the fishing poles packed in back or a busy itinerary lined up for contract work, the option for diesel will no-doubt entice you, as well as the powerful and trusty front and rear electronic locking differentials.

After seeing success while developing Corvette and Camaro performance envelopes, the engineers at Chevy took the time to apply the same successful principles to the ZR2. Based in Markham, Ontario, Multimatic, Inc. is the manufacturer best-known for their production of high-performance Dynamic Suspensions Spool Valve Dampers. Recent Formula One winners have used them, but this goes down in automotive history as the first time they have been incorporated on an off-road vehicle. Compared to deflected-disk valving that takes place on most common dampers, the ZR2 uses spool valves, which offers an increase in precision, and a very noticeably enhanced ride.

The desire to improve ease of driving over mud, sand, and rock was taken a close look at during the production process for the ZR2. Come down to the lot and check out how the wider stance, changes to front and rear bumpers, and mounting of the spare-tire carrier on the bed all will improve your performance when navigating rough terrain. Featuring 17 x 18 -inch aluminum wheels wrapped in 31-inch Goodyear Duratrac off-road tires, the ZR2 is great for gripping traction that you'll realize right when you get behind the wheel.

The all-new 3.6-L V-6 is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and cranks out 308 horsepower. 275 lb-ft of torque is also cooked up effortlessly, and this truck can tow up to 5,000 lbs. Snow mobiles, jet skis, and other fun machines are an easy haul, even with all of the off-road upgrades to the able and nearly menacing ZR2. About 500 pounds lighter than some front-running trucks with offroad capabilities, the new ZR2 could be your fast track to plenty of Ozark and rugged Missouri landscape enjoyment during fall. Come pay us a visit soon, and check out this well-equipped and modified monster rock crawling machine!

Mid-Missouri Horde on Horsepower: 2018 Chevy Tahoe Rally Sport's Truck Package

The Suburban has long been the vehicle of choice for those who crave a rugged ride that will simply not back down to any challenge. It's not just for those who want to venture into the wilderness: the Suburban as well as the Tahoe have been loyal workhorses for those in the telecommunications, broadcasting, and construction industries. If you are now looking for a durable vehicle that can serve you well with an awesome appearance, look no further. Buyers interested in either of these supreme vehicles have the option with the Rally Sport Package to do some awesome upgrading, and see just how fun their new purchase can be in the very near future.

You can add a Borla performance exhaust to the vehicle for starters, which drastically adds to the pleasantly gruff growl. It can even increase engine horsepower and torque throughout the RMP range, which allows for quicker acceleration when suddenly needing to pass another vehicle. Creators of the "Cat Back" performance exhaust, this is a brand whose name has been held in very high regard since 1978. Working hard to improve the performance of the vehicle, this upgrade will make those who love to roar through the streets with a bit of muscular boost behind them.

You can also acquire the 6.2-liter V8 found in the Silverado with the Tahoe's RST, which boisterously belts out 460-lb of torque alongside 420 horsepower. Having a towing capacity of 8,400 lbs is sure to inspire those out there who are needing to secure anything from timber to to giving a tow, and you can even opt for the V-8 package for the Tahoe. When you make the choice to select the V8, you are opting for the same version of the 10L80 10-speed automatic that is under the hood of the Camaro ZL1, and the Ford F-150 Raptor.

The driver will enjoy taller gear ratios that provide more space between the speeds, and you will notice the drastic difference right away in shift tuning. The 6.2-liter also brings into use the GMs magnetorheoligoical suspension: a technology that goes hard to work to help the driver by adjusting the shock absorbers of said vehicle in real-time. There is actually a monotube damper filled with magentorheological fluid, located on each single wheel, and an electronic control unit responsible for the job of coordinating the entire system.

By choosing either of these awesome upgrades, you are assuring that you have a highly precise and extremely fast response ride. Your vehicle will truly have the potential to "draw" force-velocity curve, and the poise and control you will notice as a result is guaranteed to have you excited to get behind the wheel every single day. Here on the lot in Linn, we can show you how to utilize these upgrades to the best of your ability, and how to get behind the wheel of an awesome new ride right away. There are many trails off the beaten path to be explored, and many outdoors projects that have your name written all over them: the mountains and valleys of Missouri are always waiting to be conquered.
