Chevy Silverado ZR2 Caught in the Wild on Video With V8 Power Up Its Sleeve

Going off-road is soon going to take on a new meaning for us here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse, with the upcoming 2022 Chevy Silverado ZR2. Everyone has been eagerly awaiting the release of the new Silverado, and a video we found on
MuscleCarsandTrucks.com shows the ZR2 roaming the wild with a V8 under the hood, confirming numerous rumors we've heard throughout the year.

The video portrays a Chevy Silverado ZR2 testing along with some other versions of the incoming truck, which are all updated inside and out. The new Silverado will be a revved-up rival for the Ford F-150 and Ram lineup in terms of off-road ability and all-around proficiency. This tester appeared to have around 35-inch tires and a nearly-certain residency under the hood taken up by the 6.2-Liter L87 V8. Under the camouflage, you can make out the outline of the rear bumper, and the front wheels appear to be exposed much as they are on the Colorado ZR2.

This model will prove to be more of a low-speed master at rock crawling instead of a high-speed Baja running drifter. All of this has its ideal time and place, since success at technical off-roading is all about approach angles and having the perfectly-tuned equipment on your rig. Brandishing the power of a V8 will give it an edge up on the F-150 Raptor, taking a work truck and giving it a thorough transformation into a more capable and diverse boulder-conquering icon. The staff on hand at MotorBiscuit.com reported back to us that there will also be a turned-up front bumper on deck to offer more clearance around the tires, and a large-sized skid plate to offer primo protection from any elements drastically making their way to the underbelly.

It appears that the new off-road model will have an enhanced version of the Colorado ZR2's spool-valve shocks, which would be a great addition for a desert off-roading. Long-travel suspension arms and a 5-link suspension in the rear would also help the truck possess the ultimate skills in terms of a fierce battle with rivals during competition. Missouri has a very special breed of terrain that is ideal for the four seasons of fun when it comes to off-roading, with snow, mud, and the splendor of the Ozarks at you and your truck's immediate disposal.

We've all been eagerly waiting for Chevy to put out a massively-loaded off-road model of the Silverado, and after seeing this video we're even more excited. Load up your gear and get ready for the adventure you've been looking forward to - the upcoming all-new 2022 Chevy Silverado ZR2 will be the optimal truck for rambunctious off-road fun.

We love the 2021 Chevy Silverado LT Trail Boss, which is well-equipped to handle the elements and provides superior protection against damage on the trail. After you complete this upgrade you'll be skimming along fluidly with the benefits of the Bed Protection Package, Convenience Package II, Leather Package, Safety Package, and power up/down tailgate. The Convenience Package II equips your Silverado with an arsenal of technology to massively boost your enjoyment level and productivity. You'll enjoy the Universal Home Remote, two USB ports inside the cabin for smartphone charging, and a 120-volt outlet in the bed to keep your tools ready to go. The Leather Package raises the bar on comfort level and interior appearance with front-row leather appointed seats. The Power-up/down tailgate is an exciting industry first that will easily open when a switch is pressed on the instrument panel or hit a button situated directly on the tailgate. There is also a new hitch area lighting setup to provide added visibility during night drives. When you check out the Silverado for a spring test drive, you can select from seven different engine and transmission combinations among all the trim levels, with the standout performance number being the 6.2-liter V8, cranking out a hearty 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Every time you hit the trail you'll already be enjoying the benefit of the two-inch factory suspension lift with the Z71 off-road package, and the 18-inch high gloss black painted wheels wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac rubber.

2022 Silverado Spy Shots Via GM Authority Show Chevy Enthusiasts Plans for Restyled Front End

Pictured: 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500

So many of our valued customers here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse are crazy about trucks, and there are so many reasons to feel that just that way right now. As spring hits and all of the off-road bounty we enjoy here in Missouri as well as farms and job sites rev back to full life, many contractors, ranch hands, and mud-road enthusiasts alike are getting down to business and selecting the perfect new truck for their needs.

As seen on the GM Authority blog last week, recent spy photos of the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 clearly depict the revised front fascia styling. It will boast all-new headlamp designs and a completely restyled front air curtain, varying slightly from the original 2019 model year. It's a bit of a stretch to get a full glimpse of it when it's hidden under the Camo, it appears that these new air curtains will have a design that is sculpted directly into the outer edges of the front fascia. At first glance, It appears that this will provide an overall cleaner and finished look than the slightly choppier ones that are incorporated into the current model's design.

Inside, the 2022 Chevy Silverado will hit the scene with a completely overhauled cabin layout decked out with a new and larger infotainment screen, with some models removing the column-mounted shifter. You'll also enjoy a more robust and finely-tuned rear suspension, the pressure from both Ram and Ford has made us realize that we will have to be certain that the Silverado will deliver in areas such as this! It could also be predicted that a new Silverado ZR2 will join the lineup alongside a potential hybrid or electric trim level which would offer more options.

Available with seven engine and transmission combinations, the 2021 Silverado is an awesome truck-lovers spectacle to behold, and check out for an in-depth test drive! It's offered with a single, double, or crew-cab body style, and can be paired with a 70-inch short bed, 79-inch standard bed, or 98-inch long bed. There are three awesome axle ratios to pick from, as well as two or four-wheel drive.

What do we think is one of the best combinations for the current model? The 3.0-Liter Duramax turbodiesel I6 with the ten-speed transmission and 4WD. Cranking out 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, this pickup gets off the line quickly and will hum along ideally and comfortably at highway speed. A cargo bed camera makes it super easy to hook up a fifth-wheel trailer, and the TrailBoss trim provides a 2-inch lift ready for the clearance needed during off-road challenges, beefy 32-inch tires, and an automatic locking rear differential.

2022 Chevy Silverado's Mid-Cycle Refresh: Implementing The Ideal Work Truck

Right now in America, the dire competition between light and heavy-duty pickup trucks is fierce enough that it makes the duel between high-end supercar brands appear mellow and tame! All of us here at the Mid Missouri Powerhouse have been anxiously waiting to see how the incoming Chevy Silverado model was going to compare to the fierce competition in the form of the Ram 1500 and Ford's increasingly popular F-150. The current Silverado was first officially unveiled in 2018, most likely one of the reasons there is a completely redesigned front fascia just three years after its initial launch.

The GM Authority crew first reported sighting a camouflaged 2022 Silverado during rigorous drive testing near Detroit, with a redesign of the front headlamp arrangement that is similar to the new Tahoe and Blazer. GMC's MultiPro tailgate system will also make its way over to the lower-end Silverado trims, which will allow anyone to access the bed much easier no matter what the cargo type is. There was a time in truck history when having any pickup truck without the capability and grunt of a V8 was nearly unthinkable. Now there are varieties of high output as well as fuel-efficient V6 engines and turbo-diesels that can wear many hats, and haul a huge variety of goods.

This new version is slated to offer a 4.3-liter Ecotec V6 that boasts power equal to the Ford's Ecoboost V6 or Ram's 3.6-liter Pentastar with eTorque. Other recent spy shots that have been circulating have had a four-leaf spring rear suspension setup, which could aid greatly in allowing the Silverado to reclaim the valuable title of the highest towing capacity in its class. Another great addition to the Silverado line will be the addition of Google's embedded proprietary automotive operating system, which allows for access to Google's app play store and voice recognition software.

With customer interest in pickups rising steadily every year, there will also be the presence of other fantastic additions such as the super cruise autopilot system found in the Cadillac Escalade. Other spy shots revealed a much larger infotainment display system than what was available on previous models, and we are living in the most exciting of times as we witness the luxury factor excitedly exploding as interiors and cabs step up massively to provide the ultimate in customer satisfaction.

The times that allowed for the purchase of a truck that was not built up to par and did not even offer the most basic features for the drive are over. Fully embracing the new breed of pickups that have a slew of high-tech offerings and applications to make jumping off-road a viable option, we have loved to see just how far the industry as a whole has come over the last decade. Also snagging the coveted title of “Best resale value” in scoring from JD Power, the 2022 Silverado retains resale value like no other while providing stellar performance for work and play alike!

2021 Chevy Suburban Z71 Sports Gigantic-Sized Charm, Behind-The-Wheel Exhilaration

There is no way around the fact that the 2021 Chevy Suburban is an incredibly large vehicle. With a length crossing the finish line at 225.7 inches, the full-size SUV massively tips the scales at 5,991 pounds. The Motortrend staff did not expect such an exhilarating ride considering the Suburban's large-sized footprint, but Senior features editor Jonny Liebermann had doled out high levels of praise for the powertrain's performance and ten-speed transmission's ability to shift with massively-smooth sensation and results.

The 5.3-liter V8 cranks out 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, and the engine lineup for this year's Suburban also boasts the Duramax diesel and noticeably stronger 6.2-liter V8. During the always-necessary and exciting track test, the 2021 Suburban Z71 got up to 60 mph in 7.6 seconds, and dashingly through the quarter-mile in 15.7 seconds. When coming to an abrupt stop is top priority, the Suburban needed 127 feet to completely brake from 60 mph, and the new chassis plus the independent rear suspension offers up class-leading body control through challenging corners.

For such a large and hefty hauler, the Suburban's steering is still accurate, allowing for the driver to feel as if you could pinpoint any stretch of road and easily arrive at your destination without any struggle. Stepping up to the Premier trim level is the way to truly enjoy what this convoy-capable and adventure-ready model has to offer for luxury and long-distance comfort. You'll enjoy 12-way power and ventilated front seats, power 60/40 split-folding third-row bench seat, power-release second-row bucket seats, power tilt and telescoping steering column, Bose ten-speaker surround with CenterPoint audio system, Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium system with connected Navigation and 10.2-inch touchscreen, front and rear park assist, chrome door handles with body-color strip, and memory settings for outside mirrors and steering column.

With seating for up to nine and more cargo room than any other SUV here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse, the onboard large 10.2-inch touchscreen is simple to use, and the ride on rough roads is still well-acclimated and perfectly spongy. 10 inches of ground clearance is ideal for the times when rutted fire trails and boulder washout may block your path, and the trusty staff of U.S. News claimed that the seating capacity and cargo room above alone push the Suburban righteously into the top of its class. Many who have expressed interest in the Tahoe have decided to lean in and fully embrace the more robust Suburban, which stakes its claim on the road with impeccable driving chops and a unique commandeering presence.

These second-row seats boast a very comfortable and well-stretched out way to watch the miles pass, and this year's model saw the addition of an independent rear suspension, improved seating and cargo space, a larger touch screen, forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking now standard. The available sunroof, hands-free power liftgate, and power-retractable side steps are other available features that make this year's Suburban the carry-all leader for millennials and aspiring entrepreneurs with a sustainable vision and love for today's feature-rich ride.
