2022 Chevy Bolt EUV Charges Onto Scene With Upgraded Interior, Revolutionary Super Cruise, Interior Improvements

The all-electric Chevy Bolt has been updated for 2022, and all of us here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse are eager to see the interior improvements. The five-passenger EUV is a bit larger and features better technology than its predecessor.

The EUV is about six inches longer than the Bolt, providing three more inches of legroom for rear-seat passengers. There is an all-new seat design that features additional padding, and the luxury of heated and ventilated front seats is available. The rear bench is a 50/50 split fold-down design with a built-in center armrest. On the dash is an 8.0-inch color gauge cluster and 10.2-inch touchscreen providing access to Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Alexa, Spotify, and The Weather Channel.

As you enjoy the absence of trips to the gas pump, you’ll benefit from wireless cell phone charging, automatic emergency braking, a high-def rear vision camera, lane keep assist, forward collision alert, automatic high beams, and front pedestrian braking. Available driver-assists include a surround-view camera, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and Super Cruise, the hands-free driver assist that takes care of steering for you.

There is a new toggle switch to select park, drive, and reverse that leaves a good amount of space in the center console. The redesigned interior features brand-new display screens, a stylish toggle gear selector, and upped overall quality of the soft-touch materials for a much more premium look. On the flat-bottom steering wheel, there is a regen braking on-demand paddle. Also on the wheel: a crisp black Chevy bowtie logo.

The Bolt EUV can regain an impressive 95 miles of range in 30 minutes with a DC fast charger. The tradition and appeal of the gas-powered engine will linger for quite some time, but as soon as you experience the convenience of knocking out your to-do list on electricity alone, you'll agree the benefits of the future are the solutions to problems of the present!

2022 Chevy Colorado TrailBoss Package Ready to Take on the Rambling Woods and Rivers of the Great Outdoors

A large number of our Mid-Missouri Powerhouse customers are passionate about off-roading, and it's no wonder why. We live in a beautiful area that provides an abundance of varied trails and terrain to test out everything from lift kits to knobby tires! The GM Authority blog just ran a feature about the new Trailboss package made specifically for off-roading enthusiasts and the many ways it will aid the 2022 Chevy Colorado off-road.

This exciting and versatile package gears the Colorado up for trail duty with 17” high gloss black wheels, red recovery hooks, black tailgate lettering, black Colorado emblems, front 1” leveling kit, performance skid plate, and performance mid skid plate. The Trailboss package will be available on the LT and Z71 trim levels with 4-wheel drive only. Its appearance and extra protection will have you packing your gear and ready to travel!

The Chevy Colorado briefly offered the Trail Boss Package on the 2015 and 2016 models, then featuring an automatic locking differential, transfer case shield, front recovery hooks, and round rocker steps. Known for being very nimble and capable, the Chevy Colorado satisfies shoppers who are looking for the power and fun of a traditional pickup without the compromises of a full-sized model. The available 308-horsepower V6 is responsive and quick, and the diesel option offers 369 lb-ft of torque. The Trailering Equipment Package leaves you with a final capability of 7,000 pounds with the V6, and 7,700 with the diesel.

Both the Colorado's 41 cubic feet short box and 50 cubic feet long box are larger than competitors such as the Honda Ridgeline. It features a Wi-Fi hotspot, two intuitive touchscreens, and the highly-acclaimed Chevy Infotainment 3 Premium system. The base truck includes a 7.0-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth audio streaming for two devices, and every other model up the trim line features an 8.0-inch display. The Car and Driver staff were so impressed with the Infotainment inside that they claimed “the only way it could be improved would be by using telepathy!”

Key safety features include available lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, and rear parking sensors. Proudly assembled right here in Missouri at the GM Wentzville factory, the 2022 Colorado with the hefty new Trailboss Package will be adequately equipped for nearby destinations such as Kasper OHV Park: they just cleaned up and re-prepped the dirt drag strip for late-summer excitement!

Cents and Sensibility: 5 Reasons Why The 2022 Bolt EUV Tops The Tesla Model 3

When it comes to EPA range estimates, technology features, and presentation for electric vehicles, the Tesla Model 3 is considered the industry standard. However, we here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse think the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV may have it beat. The Edmunds.com staff recently published a blog that made a solid argument with a few good reasons why the Bolt EUV is a better choice than Tesla’s entry-level offering of the 2021 Model 3.

Weight on Wallet Factor: The official price difference between the two cars is approximately $7,000. The base trim for the Tesla gets you faux leather seating, heated seats, larger wheels, and onboard navigation. However, when stacked up against our Bolt EUV, the top Premiere trim level will get you many of these options plus cooled seats, and the EUV still has a lower final price than the base Model 3. If you are willing to wait until fall, there’s a good chance that you will see numerous manufacturer incentives on the Bolt EUV, which will provide even more in the way of savings.

The Star-Studded Super Cruise: Both the Tesla and the Bolt EUV boast features to reduce the strain of driving. Our Bolt EUV features Super Cruise, and the Tesla has its own type of Full Self-Driving Capability. You need the top Premiere trim on the Bolt EUV to gain access to Super Cruise, but obtaining the Model 3’s option costs roughly $7,800 more. Consumer Reports gave the Bolt EUV’s Super Cruise top marks in a 2020 ranking of active driving assistance systems.

Benefits of a Time-Backed Network: There are only about 120 Tesla service centers in the nation. Being backed by Chevy grants you access to services from over 4,200 dealerships across the country, and if you find yourself needing assistance while far away from home, we’ve got you covered!

Space For Stuff: The hatchback design you’ll find in the Bolt EUV offers more cargo-friendly space at 16.3 cubic inches. The Model Y from the Tesla camp provides a bit more, but you are looking at about $18,000 minimum more in spend. The Bolt EUV has come such a long way since the 2019 EV model, with awesome design, great technology, and wider everyday appeal.

Fulfilling Real World Expectations: The Bolt EUV has an EPA-estimated range of 247 miles, while the Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus is rated at about 20 miles more. But, when push comes to shove, the real-world finish is sometimes a bit different. When the Model 3 has been pushed to perform, it sometimes comes up short, but the Bolt EUV has proven itself able to exceed its EPA rating by 7%. The Edmunds staff will soon make an official go of it for themselves, and circle back to us with the official findings.

The Kinetic Buzz Of an Unprecedented Concept: Montana Compact Pickup In the Works From GM

Just a few sizzling summer weeks after officially announcing the plans for development for Chevy's upcoming compact pickup, Chevy released the first teaser image of the new vehicle. The Chevy Montana will be manufactured in Brazil, and is not yet available in the United States.

GM believes heavily in Brazil, and we predict that a massive overhaul of the plant will provide innovative new concepts and tools to ensure the best results in a quality build and sustainable vehicle life. These images show the silhouette, which will sport a double cab configuration with four doors and ample seating for five. The Montana will in essence become Chevy's first compact-sized unibody pickup, boasting many notable advancements when it comes to the all-important architecture.

This will allow for much better driving dynamics, and what we see from a glance is a small-stanced truck that is designed for tight spaces and urban driving, yet still has the bed to move the big stuff and the stature to quickly jump off-road if needed.

Another event that truck lovers are bound to get excited for is the ZR2 treatment coming to the Silverado. The truck that’s “celebrating those who love the mud” adds a 2.0-inch lift, 3.5-inch wider track, front and rear locking differentials, and Multimatic's spool-valve dampening technology. If you are thinking about a very “Montana” themed outdoor weekend coming up soon, the available Bison package for the ZR2 is ideal, as you get expertly-crafted AEV front and rear bumpers, and off-road-ready 17-inch wheels.

The 2022 Silverado gets a brand new look with fresh dashboard design, gauge cluster, and optional digital cluster display. The classic column shifter setup has been removed, and the addition of GM's Super Cruise will allow the coming Silverado 1500 to drive in a semi-autonomous mode. Edmunds.com provides a comprehensive review database of customers who have had great experiences with Chevy trucks, and one very satisfied buyer was ecstatic about a 9,600-lb towing capacity, and the superbly economical 19 city and 22 highway EPA-rated gas mileage!
