2022 Chevy Blazer Is Rich With style, Built With Grave Detail to Visually Stun on The Street

Fitting in the comfy slot between the very compact Equinox and the 3-row Traverse in size, the Blazer nameplate was revived 3 years ago, bringing back what was one of the most unique blends of an early SUV and car with truck-like capabilities. Immediately here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse, positive response may have been just a bit slow as the older 4X4 K5 and S-10 Blazer fans were just a bit “on pause” regarding their reaction. Offering various exciting engines and an array of new features, it found its popularity and true personality eventually, as its exciting stance and sporty manners were taken to.

The new 2022 Blazer is going to undergo a few minor and useful changes, while still providing a righteously edgy and aggressive SUV ideal for the driver who embraces this powerful and comfortable option. During this refresh, the element of comfort was to be fine-tuned, and the engine lineup may not see too much drastic change. The standard option is the 2.5-liter 4-cylinder, cranking out 193 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. Moving up the ladder just a bit provides the 2.0-liter turbo-four, generating 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, also offering the convenience of All-Wheel-Drive.

The mid-size crossover is a breed of vehicle that is made to be perpetually on the street, and the original model it drew its influence from saw a bit of difference in persona. The original Blazer was destined for camping and outdoor activity from the start, and preferred to spend its spare time roaring around the outskirts of town on fire roads and trails begging for knobby tires and an extra lift. The current design pays homage to very sharp lines, slimmer headlights, and a larger two-tiered grille.

You'll be treated to 64.2 cubic feet of overall cargo space, and the same great standard features in the cabin including an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, six-speaker stereo, Bluetooth audio streaming, four USB ports, cruise control, keyless entry, 18” wheels, and all-season tires. As you move excitedly up in trim level, you get to enjoy features such as wireless smartphone charging, rear-park assist, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane change alert with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane change alert with blind spot monitoring, rear camera mirror, adaptive cruise control, and surround-view parking camera system.

When the weekend finally arrives and it's time to get further away from urban confines, the new trailer hitch guidance system with crane package will come in handy, and the turbocharged engine option adds premium power at a very reasonable price. The design parallels and striking resemblance to the Camaro do not necessarily stoke the same presence as the XXL “Wranglin' runaround” vehicle that it was in its early stages, but we know wholeheartedly that you're gonna love this modern crossover that displays cutting-edge character and a very taut, agile stance!

2022 Chevy Bolt EUV Aims to Ease Sticker Shock While Adding Industry-Leading Tech Features

The days of electric cars are more prevalent than ever now. The 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV looks a bit similar to the standard Bolt EV, but it's loaded with a heavy dose of new tech that is advanced but budget-minded to boot. Everyone here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse is thrilled to finally see the time when advanced driver assistance technology and very capable electric drivetrains are available within reach of the everyday American consumer. As an integral part of the plan to introduce 30 new electric vehicles over the next 4 years, this new Bolt EUV has been released with GM's very advanced Super Cruise system.

The EUV is the longer and larger between the two, and the addition of Super Cruise now allows for hands-free driving, which is the largest leap into fully autonomous driving that any manufacturer has brought to the table yet. Power is derived from a 288-cell, 5-kWh battery pack that generates 200 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque, and one stat that customers are interested in is how far you can go on a charge. In this case, that sought-after marker is 250 miles, which is more than a full week of driving for many urban commuters averaging about 20 miles of driving a day!

If you are short on time along with many other busy families these days, you can regain up to 96 miles of range in just a half an hour courtesy of a DC fast charger, while a full charge on standard power will take around 7 or 8 hours, easily accomplished during a night's rest. One of the great benefits you'll enjoy with this new and Eco-conscious breed of car is one of Chevy's latest team efforts: home charging installer Qmerit will step up to the plate and provide free charger installation if you buy or lease a new Bolt or EUV.

Since its introduction in 2017, Super Cruise has shown up in numerous Cadillac products such as the CT6 and CT5. The Bolt EUV is the first production vehicle residing outside the luxury category of GM, and drivers will certainly enjoy the intense injection of automation while driving on highways within its network. The Launch Edition of the Bolt EUV currently has every single model reserved, the LT and Premium trim models are still available. The implementation of Super Cruise is not just to give drivers a sense of lazy existence on the road: chief engineers involved heavily in its design had lofty goals of bringing crashes along with congestion down to zero.

The next ten years are going to have even more exciting changes as far as autonomous driving goes, and some of that technology will see more extensive development and success. Every time the Super Cruise system is added to a new vehicle, the software processing and sensors need to be updated because of each car's different dimensions along with other characteristics. Feeling a bit like pushing the limits? Probably not going to happen: if Super Cruise senses you falling asleep or glancing at your phone, alarms sound reminding you that for now, the driver needs to keep their eyes on the road. Five years down the road? We'll all have to wait and see!

Parents Magazine Hails Chevy Equinox On Coveted List of “Best Family Cars For 2021”

The Chevy Equinox has always commanded plenty of attention, inquiries and test drives here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse! Customers with expanding families or those experiencing graduations or other life-changing events will no doubt be looking to the most experienced trade publications to steer them in the right direction when looking for a new vehicle to suit their unique needs. The panel of experts at Parents Magazine thoroughly tested over 50 new model year vehicles during judging for the awards and only considered those that already have attained industry-leading safety ratings.

The Equinox began its winnings for the year by claiming the “Best Steering System” award from Parents Magazine, claiming that the driver feels in complete control at all times and that the 1.5-Liter I4 LYX gasoline engine is there when you need it to step up and accelerate quickly. Making sure that the littler passengers are strapped into the backseat easy is simple with the Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children system, which makes these necessary points easier to see and locate in a hurry.

Making life easier when you are in a hurry is what the publishers of Parents magazine know can be most important to someone looking for a vehicle, and that the way consumers think about, shop for, and use cars every day has changed quite a bit over the events of the last year. It has now become quite common to use your car as the ultimate peaceful safe space, curbside pickup errand runner, and even a multi-functional mobile office. With your family's safety as the priority, this year's list adapts to all of your family's growth spurts and yearly accomplishments for days to come!

With a very user-friendly infotainment system, higher-than-average reliability rating from the trusted experts at USNews.com, and excellent fuel economy from the base engine, the 2021 Equinox provides a muscular yet practical family SUV. With this model, it was shown just how many great features and awesome driving characteristics could be had while still going with a very budget-minded approach. It is no surprise that the Equinox also had a very strong showing in IIHS safety testing, as the LT Trim equipped with HID projector headlights is a 2020 Top Safety Pick.

The NHTSA also determined after close-up investigation and test drives that the Equinox heartily earned a five-star overall safety rating after five-star frontal and side crash scores, and a glowing 4-star rollover rating. Entry-level Equinox models all offer you a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with the available option of an 8.0-inch touch display standard on higher trims. Six-speaker audio is standard, and the Infotainment II package provides the extra sensational sounds of the Bose premium system. Competing front and center against the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Subaru Forester, and Mazda  CX-5, this year's Equinox is sure to be tops everywhere with mom and dad who have toddlers and all other ages of children to consider as their day planner frantically fills up!

GMSV Reveals C8 Corvette Global Presentation Still On Track For Early Q2

As strange as the entire last year has been in the auto manufacturing world, many rumors are a bit harder to nail down, while some come backed by sources that bear a bit more reliability. Situated in the sunny and cheerful locations of Australia and New Zealand, The GMSV is a knowledgeable network of dealers keeping their eyes daily on the pulse and climate of everything Chevy-related. They had suggested that the official unveiling of the next model year may come sometime this month, as early as the upcoming gala at the National Corvette Museum Bash.

Public comments on social media are usually a pretty good indicator of a sure-fire event, as PR teams combine efforts with marketing execs to make sure that the pieces of upcoming news are legit. GMSV had commented last month that “MY22 Corvette is released globally early Q2”, which led us here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse to potentially set our sights on the Michelin NCM Bash on April 22nd and 23rd to be officially introduced to the C8 Stingray as well as the highly-awaited Z06.

As far as good news on the end of the source's scoop, the local GM outlet for both New Zealand and Australia has also confirmed that they too will be able to enjoy the high-performance, stellar looks, and driver-focused design of the 2022 Corvette, with customers having the choice between the 2LT and 3LT grades in Coupe or Convertible form. The GMSV versions include the exciting Z51 Performance Package and Front Lift system as standard, opening up possibilities where the 'Vette feels most at home: on the track!

Very purposefully aimed at the creation of a high-performance-based and athletic model, this package provides the driver with performance brakes, larger brake rotors, performance brake pads, performance suspension and exhaust, front splitter and rear spoiler, electronic limited-slip differential, and the heavy-duty cooling system. You'll also be blazing over properly sizzling -hot asphalt in summer-only Michelin Sport 4S tires, and enjoying the fine-tailored finesse and precision of performance traction management. The front splitter is specially designed to keep high air pressure over the vehicle's top, instead of losing it to the car's underside.

The Z06 will boast a naturally-aspirated 5.5-liter flat-plane crank V8, just like the 1-2 finishing cars seen at the legendary Daytona 24. Instead of “only” the 500 horsepower generation of the racecar, the street car version of the Z06 will produce between 615 and 625 horses. The Z06 is slated to be able to convert into the ZR1 by situating two turbochargers into the 5.5-liter flat-plane V8. The engine aficionados at Chevy will no doubt be able to achieve a scorching amount of torque, all-American appeal, and continuance of a long-standing tradition to produce vehicles that make one prone to daydreams of checkered flags and finish lines.
