2022 Chevy Silverado Spotted Rehearsing in The Rocky Mountains By Motor1.com Crew

When it comes to trucks that are arriving soon here at the Mid Missouri Powerhouse, an enormous amount of excitement and anticipation always builds up when it comes to spy shots and videos. If you are already thinking about waiting for a short spell to get the ultimate brand-new truck when it arrives, the Motor1.com team snagged a pretty awesome video while up in the Rocky Mountains this past week that appears to be the 2022 Chevy Silverado rehearsing for real-world performance on the horizon.

The video originated from The Fast Lane Truck crew, who were lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time during some all-in high-altitude testing. The front and rear of the updated truck were covered in the usual camouflage to provide secrecy, but one design change that could be made out was the redesigned headlights along with circular lamps. Inside is where some of the most drastic and useful updates appear to be, as one of the teaser images recently found of the new Sierra Denali portrays it with a completely overhauled digital gauge cluster.

Other spy shots that have surfaced over the spring have alluded to Chevy's in-depth research and development for a more rugged Silverado ZR2, with knobby tires and larger stature. It is also slated to include Multimatic DSSV dampers, skid plates, and locking differentials at both angles. The trusty power source looks like it will be the 6.2-liter V8 that cranks out 420 horsepower, and it would do daily and well-honed battle with competitors such as the Ford F-150 Tremor and Ram 1500 Rebel. Although it may still be a few years away, Chevy is also reported to be hard at work developing an electric Silverado, which will offer the “weight capability and wisdom” of a conventional truck and boast a 400-mile driving range.

The Silverado 1500 is currently the model that sees the most in overall sales, with its practical functionality and still very customizable persona. The 2022 Silverado will also incorporate the GM Global B electrical architecture, which includes additional protective features for software and hardware functions offering truly next-level tech feature status. Spy shots that we closely examined from GM Authority also depicted a few Silverado 1500 prototypes equipped with four-leaf rear suspension, suggesting that even more care has been taken to assure it is a heavy-duty and segment-leading choice for 2022.

To assure that every customer drives off the lot fully satisfied here at the Powerhouse, we have listened closely and repeatedly surveyed many buyers who are out on the road and job sites daily to rank performance. The T1 platform had seen a bit of constructive criticism regarding a harsh ride, and this addition should properly assure that everyone driving triumphantly off the lot this fall will have the technical backing, support, and fiercely equipped truck they are looking for!
