Chevy Bolt EV, EUV Deemed As Electric Vehicle Top Picks For the Gradual Upward Climb of the Daily Commute

Being stuck in the slow lane is something that many of our customers here at the Mid Missouri Powerhouse have dealt with on the daily, and there are so many great models coming that are going to make things so easy you won’t even realize that you’re doing your part for the family ad slogging it out as part of your daily grind! Website Cars.com has now officially announced its 2022 Top Picks for the electric vehicle segment, naming the 2022 Bolt EV and the 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV as the top commuters that reside in the category.

These new picks were made in conjunction with the website’s latest EV Buying Guide, where the economic effect, driving range, interior comfort, and features for more than 30 electric models were evaluated in-depth. The ease of use for families, luxury feel, and how much fun customers felt that the car was to drive were all taken into account while the final decisions were being made. Even though the same urban efforts underway that dictated the electric car movement in the beginning are in full effect, some streets still suffer major congestion and need a comfortable and very capable vehicle to navigate through the ranks.

Even though both models had issues with recalls, we aren’t aware of any further problems moving forward, and both of these models now enthusiastically are riding on the GM BEV2 platform, which supports dedicated and energy-conserving all-electric vehicle architecture. They both are sporting the 288-cell, 65 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which provides the necessary juice to a front-mounted Voltec motor to wonderfully lay down 200 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque situated directly at the front axle.

What the main objective is as far as many of the incoming electric vehicles now is range, and the Bolt EV is rated at 259 miles while the Bolt EUV resides on the road with its abilities hovering at about 247 miles per charge. Both of these vehicles are produced by the hard-working and always-engaged assemblers at the GM Lake Orion plant in Michigan, and will surely be on track to bring the nation hastily into the Earth-conscious realms of new capability minus the petrol.

The game-changing and awesome vehicle that Motor Trend billed as “The crossover For the Rest of Us” last year, the award-winning hatchback in the form of the Bolt EUV has repeatedly been put to the test to see if its magic and momentum lives through. What their testing team described as substandard body control and perfect suspension tuning played out as the car’s amazing engagement on the road was pleasant and practical. The 2022 Bolt EUV comes equipped with automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, lane-keeping assist with lane departure warning, following distance indicator, and front pedestrian braking.
