Six-Function Multi-Flex Tailgate To Be Included on 2021 Chevy Silverado

Just over a year ago, it was officially revealed that the Mult-Flex tailgate would be a feature on the 2021 Silverado 1500. Right before Christmas more information came down the digital newswires regarding its availability and reported that customers could place an order beginning on December 17. Production will begin in February, and you can check out its many awesome features online right now! It has a weight capacity of 375 pounds, and offers six unique functions.

While providing easier access to the bed cargo, the tailgate assists with the task of loading. Two tailgate-mounted buttons or a key FOB allow you to activate its configurations, and there's even an optional Bluetooth-connected speaker if you want to rock out properly with music while working. There's also LED lighting, a 120-volt outlet, and 12 fixed tie-downs. The Multi-Flex tailgate will be available on every trim level and Multi-Flex equipped versions of the 2021 Silverado will be arriving at the dealership soon. The 2.7-liter turbo-four powered RWD Crew Cab increases the towing capability up to 9,300 pounds, and the Regular Cab Long Box boosts the towing ability to 9,600 pounds in 2WD.

The new features added to this tailgate version are a trailer length indicator, a jack-knife alert, and a new cargo bed view. The already available rear trailer view now has assisting guidelines, and there's also a new split-view camera to aid with driving in reverse. Other great features on the 2021 Silverado are remote start on Custom and Custom Trail Boss models, new active safety features added to Work Truck models, standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on LTZ and High Country model, and three exciting new packages in the form the All-Star Edition Plus, a Texas Edition Plus, and the LTZ Premium Texas Edition.

The current model also boasts expanded availability for Adaptive Cruise Control and new Adaptive Ride Control Suspension technology. Overall isolation of the ride and a greater primary vehicle motion control are two of the benefits, and uses sensors that are engineered to monitor both the road and vehicle during acceleration, braking, cornering, and trailering. The reason why this feature is so amazing during the ride is that the actual input from the road is closely monitored to provide the data for a fast response. Highly configurable and always up for the toughest of tasks, the Silverado is our gritty hauler of choice here at the Mid-Missouri Powerhouse.

What our customers are telling us they love most about the Silverado is the towing assist technology hands down, as it allows for what can be a grueling task a much easier daily proposition. The key available safety features on the 2021 Silverado are forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, and available lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist.
